Trask has to be in the driver's seat for the Heisman, right?

The crazy part is if you’re looking for all around most outstanding player on Alabama, it’s neither Jones or Smith. It’s Harris by a mile.

If we can get some objective voters who really look at the seasons these players had, Trask has a chance. He should win it hands down based on criteria.

Trask should win but he won’t. Switch Trask and Jones does anyone think Jones puts up those numbers with UF? I sure don’t

Trask put up the best numbers in the country with an offensive line that couldn't make the practice squad at Alabama, had literally no run game in support, and with offensive playmakers that would be bench sitters at Alabama outside of Pitts. And yes I include Toney in that group as good as he has been for us, he probably never would have had the chance at Bama.

I don't see Mac Jones having success with our Oline and lack of running game. Not a chance. Now you could say that Smith deserves it then. Well maybe so, but again, that team is so stacked that enormous amounts of effort have to be given to Harris and the run game that covering Smith is near impossible. How wide open would our WRs and Pitts be had we had a run game like Bamas?

Trask deserves it and anyone with a brain knows it.

Not once did any announcer during the game mention that Trask is the leading passer in the country and broke the school record for passing TDs in a season.

Trask absolutely earned the Heisman this year, and if he doesn't win, then the school should put up a statue of him anyway.

If we can get some objective voters who really look at the seasons these players had, Trask has a chance. He should win it hands down based on criteria.

The problem is top down. Trask is doing great and the UAA is not putting on a full court press to get him votes. Based on other comments, that comes at Mullen’s direction.

But, if the UAA had fed the announcers nothing but Trask stats all week leading into this game, we would have seen it. CBS would have shown the season stay comparisons too. Our school didn’t push the narrative even though Trask earned it.

#TerribleTodd? Oh yeah, it's true.
I'm just thinking of all the games we've lost in the 31 years I've been watching Gator football.....and we had never scored 40 in ANY of them until last night? UF had scored 40+ points 187 in their history and won every damn one of them? Just doesn't seem right.

Well, I mean usually we have at least a mediocre defense. It's hard to lose games with a mediocre defense if you're scoring 40 points.

It’s an odd stat because, as you pointed out, we’re generally not scoring that many points in games, certainly not 187 times(you’d think). But remember, even when we were bad 80s teams, we’d beat MontanaSt 69-0. Until Spurrier, those were the types of games in which we’d score a lot. So that record was safe. And even after, it was usually the less than great teams that would give up that many to us. That’s what makes this season so weird. There’s probably an equally mind blowing stat on Alabama’s defensive points allowed that is shattered this season. The eventual NC may have given up 46 to us and something similar to Ole Miss, and yet they’re the best team, probably by far. Bizarre to think about.

I know of one voter who’s already cast his vote for Trask. I won’t say who because voters can’t divulge their pick before the winner is announced.

If Mac wins that's like Gino Torretta winning. If anyone from Bama it should be Smith. The amazing thing about Trask's season is he does this with no run game. People don't stack the box vs UF like they do vs Bama and Trask still picks apart nickle and dime packages.

Nobody in the country has had to do what trask has had to this year. It shouldn't even be close. I expect whoever wins will atleast give a shout out to Todd Grantham at the ceremony.

I guess I'm a homer when it comes to the Heisman but I really feel that Smith is the most deserving of anyone for it. He has done more for his football team than either Jones or Trask no question. Yes, both are excellent QBs with terrific accuracy. Smith not only has caught many of Jones' passes but leads the nation in yards after the catch. Plus he has been returning punts since Waddle got injured. I'd love to have seen him throw a pass to Metchie on Saturday but alas, it didn't happen...

@DerekJTyson:
Joe Burrow threw for 5,671 yards and 60 TDs with 6 INTs in 15 games last season.

Through 11 games, Kyle Trask would have been on pace for 5,625 yards and 59 TD passes w/ 7 INTs in 15 games.
