No I am thinking that is a real possibility that he is innocent and will transfer.

If he's innocent and is cleared from all charges including the school code of conduct, why would he not just pick up where he left off? And why would he go sit a year?

"IF" it was a false allegation, should she be allowed to get away with it? NO WAY. Will she? Probably. And as much as it goes against my feelings of what is just and what is not, perhaps for the greater good, they should do nothing (except have her go to serious therapy). An even worse injustice is if a women was attacked and violated and then chose not to speak out for fear of being accused of being a slanderer and then prosecuted. I'm afraid to prosecute would set a precedent and this vile crime would have an even higher percentage of going unreported.

There is no "right" and "simple" answer here. If TH is falsely accused and hence unjustly becomes victimized there is a great "wrong" here. BUT, an even greater wrong would be to allow more low life, son's of bitzhe's to get away with rape. There is no right answer. Only the choice between two evils. Which is more damaging in the long run?
Very well said. This explains why this situation can't be black or white and simply swept away. There are so many ramifications for every action, no matter how minute.

I'm going to put Wobble & Fever into a room so they can take out their feelings on each other. :catfight:

In all seriousness, keep your ongoing pissing match out of the threads. I'm tired of seeing it.

This entire nightmare has me literally debating the 3 hour drive to G-ville saturday. First of all, I think UF did the right thing in handling this situation. I hate that it happened and I hope the facts come out and justice is served for all concerned. I actually felt bad for Mush Dawg. This was certainly a blindside and the last thing he needed. I hope our team will rally toghether, circle the wagons and make the Swamp a pit of doom for the Tigers on Saturday. I hope Dawg and our QB find a way to win the game and I hope that Gator D leads the way.

If not guilty, I think Treon should thank Machen for the way he has handled it. This way he could return without any question of a cover-up.If Machen made some "we'll wait till all the facts are in" statement, the cloud would always be over him and UF.

Here's a question. Who typically picks up the tab when Mr. Huntley Johnson represents a player of ours? He too regularly represents them to deny there is a mutually beneficial relationship between he and UF's athletic interests. Are legal fees allowed to be covered for the students? Does he work somewhat pro bono for the players and then receive a consulting bonus of some sort from the athletic department?

That was asked on WURF radio today at lunchtime and the response was "I would think the player". Even though they are all broke with no income......so who knows.

I thought he did them pro-bono... he probably ends up getting paid from NFL players or boosters or something...

heard the same thing, after the break Steve Russell said that some of these guys are willing to do it pro bono if I spelled that right. I think someone like law should be able to answer this question but he's been staying away from this thread for some reason
