We are seeing the result of Foley’s “but we are Florida” ego when everyone else in the SEC was lapping UF in facilities and staff hires. We didn’t play the NIL game correctly from the start, and seem to be looking up instead of leading.

Having a non losing season and a good season are 2 different things.

True.

The OP was just talking about losing seasons relative to the programs history.

I've been a Gator since the early 80s.

We had several very good seasons in the 80s and several bad seasons too ... but didnt have a single losing season. Same with the 90s ( more good seasons) . Same with the 2000s.

That's 3 decades without a losing season.

But 5 losing seasons in the past 10 years!

(Naturally, a good season includes a win over the buttsniffers. But thats a different discussion)

Too bad these stat ranks aren't x/100 scores - then we'd be doing pretty well. And the ones we did "poorly" at would more than be made up for with categories we got extra credit in (like scoring 129/100 in Opp 3rd Dn Conv %).

Said another way, we went from bad to mediocre on some lines, but more than made up for it by going from mediocre to horrendous on others.

He’s in the stubborn stage. Unwilling to admit that almost everything he’s done is wrong and refusing to change. Going to slow play hires, the portal, recruiting, etc. his walking papers can’t come fast enough.

Yeah... no. Great question. We have a process. It's been successful for us. We are constantly evaluating and doing quality control using analytics. This is a delivery business. We have to deliver.

Maybe he should pivot to become a Dominoes delivery man.

Maybe a product of the regime at the time, but he was a very lazy recruiter when he was here before. After the biggest recruiting game of the year, with tons of prospects on hand, he was at dinner with his wife within like an hour or so.
