but light years ahead of the other two clowns.
Sad isn't it.
but light years ahead of the other two clowns.
It really is. I remember when we were going through that nightmare stretch with Muschamp, and I felt like I owed Zook an apology because the depths Chimp had taken us to were far, far worse. Then, incredibly, Butters was so horrendous I actually felt like apologizing to Muschamp!Sad isn't it.
He is the worst. Ever.It really is. I honestly don't think a coach could be worse than Butters. Seriously. We will never experience that kind of incompetence again. It's a miracle he ever won a single game.

Mac will likely go down in gator history as the absolute worst coach ever

Lets play with this poll question a bit.
I went with Zooker. Now I know the records look similiar between these three disasters, but in Zooker's day both the Inbreds and Azzsniffers were top 10 teams. Corndog also had top 10 talent and Saban. Clowntown and Scum were also a top teams, and ZookerZooker Scum once or twice, I forget. Simply put his record was much tougher to achieve and his record against ranked teams was better than Fooley'sFooley' Part 2 and 3.
Moreover, due purposefully avoiding scoring points neither Muskstank or Butters had any of hope of beating most decent teams. They only had a chance against other completely anemic offenses.
Zook was a terrible game day coach you say, yes he was. He is still the original Fooley's Folley, but he really had the chance of beating anyone, including Saban's first NC team. Mushchump and Sharkie couldnt beat Saban if they played him every week for 4 years.
It is clear to me.
Zook, and it's not close. The big games that were loaded with pressure were where he typically showed up and coached his best. Even from a season standpoint, it was usually only after we'd dropped a few conference games and had zero margin for error that he'd suddenly reel off 4-5 wins in a row. Still not a good coach because of the deficiencies already discussed, but light years ahead of the other two clowns.
You left off the most embarrassing game that we shoulda lost. 3-9 fau probably scores a td in overtime if the clouds didn't miraculously open up at the end of their possesion. Most of his wins, in retrospect, were practically miracles. Two of the Uk wins came down to last possession, one that was aided by 2 of the most egregious blown assignments in football history and a holding call. East Carolina was driving to beat us before fumbling. Unlikely closes against the vols, featuring TD passes in the final seconds and an "icing" that almost cost us the game in '15. A goal line stand against Lsu where the RB goes the wrong way. Hardin's last second FG to beat Vu. On and on.
Outside of Iowa, OM and uga 2015, I'm not sure we played well enough to win any of those 22 games that fall in to the victory column. We just happened to not lose.
This - Zook did have a lot of big wins... I think those Georgia wins were against highly ranked teams.
I see Zook had about 5 wins against top 10 ranked teams at UF.
Weird, because all I thought about was how much it would cost me to hire the mob to burn down Fooley's house. It really is. I remember when we were going through that nightmare stretch with Muschamp, and I felt like I owed Zook an apology because the depths Chimp had taken us to were far, far worse. Then, incredibly, Butters was so horrendous I actually felt like apologizing to Muschamp!
I wasn't the dumazz, I mean dumoxx that made the poll with no thread.Agreed...now where is the poll so we can vote and see the answers in one place?
Look, he was a known quantity. He was the same fvkking moron who had the most talent ever collected on a college football team and lost 9-6 to Grasseater. I find it impossible to believe that guy could ever be hired and sold as a so-called offensive guru.I honestly don't think a coach could be worse than Butters. Seriously. We will never experience that kind of incompetence again. It's a miracle he ever won a single game.
I didn't think the topic was worthy of a thread. Some other dumazz did.I wasn't the dumazz, I mean dumoxx that made the poll with no thread.
