We use mulching blades on our Grasshopper. It chops and dumps without shooting it out.

I have tried them. They don’t work on my bahia grass during the rainy summer. Might as well be trying to mow barbed wire.

We can’t mow the pasture with it because it bogs down but I can do the fence rows and trees. Then we do the rest with a larger finishing mower on the tractor.
