Take it for what its worth (nothing), but I know somebody who knows a former player who claims to still have friends in the program, and he said there is more to the Grier saga than has been made public and that its going to get more interesting before its all said and done. He would not elaborate further, and for all I know, he knows nothing more than anyone else and its just blowing smoke. As for me, I would not be shocked at all if he left, I have said all along I doubted he would ever take another snap as a starting QB at UF. Everyone who thinks we're just going to sit around and twiddle our thumbs waiting for him to be eligible again, and then hand him the keys and he's going to ride in 7 games into the season, having not played in a game in a year, and rescue the offense, its pure fantasy.

Dont worry. We still have the great Kyle Trask, unless Houston Baptist and Cosmetology School beats us out.

Well, the good news, if this is true, is that we got three good quarters out of Grier, which is one more than we got from Drizzkill.

This is insane if true. And watch this whole QB dance blow up in our faces.

Grier transfers. Franks throws a hissy over Eason's visit and flips back to LSU. Eason decides he really does love UGA and sticks with the Dawgs.

And we end up with :kiffin:!!!

:bob:

I'm sensing you are being a Debie Downer here.

Yes, but the :kiffin:: is a 6'5" pile of :kiffin: and height is all that matters.

I pretty much figured it from the beginning. Just makes sense. If he has to sit half a year, why not just transfer, sit for a whole year, and then have nearly the same eligibility while starting fresh.

If true, this helps us out immensely with Eason.

Will has months before he has to make a decision. Personally, I think he goes. Here's why.

How easily did he beat out Treon? Not very easily. Looks like we have at least one Stud of a QB coming in, maybe 2. Treon won't be starting next year. The new guy will be. And the new guy will have 6 games under his belt before Grier comes back. Unless the new QB sucks, Grier likely won't wrest the starting position away from him, thus keeping Grier on the bench. Grier won't like that, and his dad won't either. If he transfers now, he'll only have to sit out a half a year extra, since he's already sitting out half anyways...

And just like that, poof. WillGetOut...

Ya I dont buy that at all. It was just to respect Treon IMO by Mac. Heck anyone looks good in practice, aka Jeff Driskel. The only games Treon played in when Grier was eligible were cupcakes. Mac was just playing with opponents, the media, and respecting the experience factor Treon had last year(we all know that did not help). Will was gonna be the starter until...we all know what happened.

Eason is a pipe dream. The sooner we accept this, the better.
If your father was a former NFL QB, who would you rather coach your 5* QB son? Kirby Smart or Jim McElwain? I'm not sure UGA is the team to beat. It may be Michigan at this point.

We need a QB for game 1 next year. It will be a grad transfer or juco.

It won't be a current high schooler.

Grier made his own bed of stupidity and is probably gone.
