My daughter got "me" a puppy for Father's Day 11 years ago - a chihuahua. It's like having a perpetual puppy...well, a perpetually a$zhole that is the size of a puppy.

It's funny seeing the inner conflict of her wanting a new puppy...but knowing that this damn dog just.wont.die.

I had one of those damn chihuahua's one time. Damn thing pissed in the house all the time! I hated that dog! Luckily for me, my mother-in-law loved the worthless little ankle biter. So he went to live with her. It was a win for me. I got the little bastard out of my house but the kids still get to see him...

I'm a big dog lover. Just had a black mouth cur dog that died last month. He was part of the family and miss him. Still expecting to hear him bark every time I walk through the door. :(

The girls have another little crumb snatcher they got last year. I don't know why but that little thing loves me and I'm the one person in the house that didn't want her. My oldest has been trying to get me to get another big dog to replace the one that died but I'm like, "Meh... one dog is fine, we don't need another one." Though I will say my cur dog always gave me peace of mind. I knew when I left the house that nobody was coming in there uninvited. That damn dog would've eaten anybody that tried to mess with my family...Miss that dog...

I had one throughout my childhood. Great dog. Sandy was an outside dog and she followed me everywhere. I had to try to sneak away to get to pee-wee football. I'll never forget doing leg lifts and hearing a commotion just before she started licking my face through my facemask. Then our o-line coach kicked her in the side to get her to leave. I still regret not ripping him a new one, but you know how it is when you're 75 lbs and he's a gruff, bulked-up grown man.

She followed me everywhere around our suburban neighborhood. She broke in a screened pool enclosure (the hottest girl in school - thanks Sandy...) and waited all night for me at a friends house when she didn't see me go home. Great dog.

I'm alive, fairly healthy, have a loving family and good friends, plenty of food and drinks in the fridge, have an interesting job that pays well and I'm a Florida Gator!

I'm not ate up with negative thoughts like many on this board because I've learned that opportunities are always available and with opportunity comes challenges. Maybe we will be terrible next year or maybe we will be good.... At this point no one really knows which way the cards will fall. I choose to hope for the best, that's just a better place for me to be than wallowing in negative thoughts.

Some of you will read this and have a knee jerk reaction that I'm defending Mac or think everything is wonderful but that's not the case.... I see many opportunities for improvement and hope that the Football God's will favor my Gators in 2017.
In my opinion football is a game of inches and missed opportunity, it's not all about stock piling 4 and 5 star players (unbeatable Bama did lose) but rather a lucky break, a tipped ball, a missed tackle or missed block or maybe an unexpected big play.... We have been so weak in so many areas that it wouldn't take much to win 1 or 2 more games in the past two years. Maybe we will get or make some of those good things next year. I know that some will disagree but I really believe if Grier wouldn't have been suspended, we would have won 2/3 more games in 2015/2016 but probably still would have lost to Bama, or not....... who knows.
All I know for sure is that our guys played hard (most of the time) and we had plenty of missed opportunities. Maybe, just maybe we will finally find a QB who can see the field and deliver the ball on time.... please, please Football Gods!

I'm still proud of my Gator Heritage and look forward to the Glory of Winning it all again. In the mean time, stay thirsty my friends.....

Not to pick nits, but I'd say it's reality that has overtaken the board, it just feels like negativity because there aren't any real positives to be had from the current situation. I've largely disappeared from here not because of any of you, just the thought of the current state of the program is enough that I don't even want to think about it. I've never felt this bad about where we're at even during the Chump debacle because I always knew he would hang himself, and he did. But McElwain, I'm afraid, will continue to do just enough that people will continue to make excuses for him (why, you can't fire the 2 time SEC East champion coach!) and by the time the plug is pulled, we'll be so far gone that it will take a decade to rebuild. Really depressing.

Thank you OG for seeing that it is reality. For some reason calling it as it is or seeing reality in our society is often considered pessimism when in fact it is realism. So yes our reality is that Butters blows and we are going south fast. As an aside I was just at the stadium and why is Fooley's car still there? Fooley should be banned inside the city limits!!!!!!!

I'd love to be optimistic, but I just see nothing to be optimistic about. Just same old, same old, hoping something magically is going to happen to change the trajectory.

I think if we got the right coach in here we'd be a 9-10 win team (not getting blown out in our losses) within 2 years.....and right back in the thick of things w/in 3 years. But by the time that happens, counting Meyer's checkout year, Muschamp's 4 years...and who knows how long McElwain gets it'll be a decade.

Honestly, I'm hoping for some positive news w/ the new hire (hopefully "hires"...with an "s").....and we finish recruiting getting players in positions of need. At this point I've given up on the number of "stars" they have.

Oh, and dogs are cool too! We lost our 14 year old bubs last Christmas and want to get a new one. We'll probably adopt a senior dog (at least 5-7 years old)....waiting to see where I get orders next (probably back to DC).

I'm considering getting another week ban just so I won't be able to get upset about Butters BS. I know you say just don't log in, but where's the fun in that?

He is still employed, or at least has an office. And he has a function as well, that is raising all that money that you desire for new and improved facilities. Not just for say football but for all Gator teams.

He also lives in the city so no banning him there either.
