Mac and Company on the Trail

For comparisons sake, Georgia has 9 in the top 100 this year alone Which is more than our last three years combined with probably a chance at a few more. The Mac is still young argument may have some validity but Kirby has only had one year and has a top 3-2 ranked class.

I think the difference is Kirby stepped into a functional program, whereas Mac stepped into a dead and decomposing program. That's an oversimplification, and I'm not saying Mac would have pulled a similar class at UGA (because, for one, he likely wouldn't have played Eason if this year was any indication), but I don't think it can be an apples to apples comparison.

Why? Guys had like a dozen locks last week. None have been locks.

Slaton seems like a lock. I would be surprised if he's not a Gator. I would take Mac's keys and tell him to take a hike if he screws this one up.

Wow...we'll get SLaton and that's it out of those guys. Stay away from sharp objects.
Im not saying we'll get them just that we are a contender, of course there may be other ones who commit to us but that would be more of a surprise

Man, that's not true. If he could actually recruit and had a top 5 class like we needed - you'd have people including me jumping around with joy. Hell, I might've became a pumper.

Not me, I want to see an offense.

This is year 3 though. Not one single top ten class(unless a miracle happens). That just does not cut it.

Here's the way I look at it. Mac gets his ass handed to him by more talented teams and better coaches(avg margin in losses is 21 pts). He can't beat the FSU's and Bama's with lesser talent. Well, the gap is widening. Add UGA to the list. If Mac had outcoached some teams I would feel better about the 17th ranked class. He hasn't proven he can do more with less...in fact, he has shown that he can't beat the better teams(2-8 vs ranked teams). That's a huge problem that is not going away.

I look at it this way, I do not worry about class ranking until the class is in the books. I especially ignore class rankings when UF is so far below their number a day out. We will know tomorrow how much talent is coming in, even if there is one holdout.
