Franks has been Driskel 2.0 in the limited time he has played since leaving his high school.
Limited time huh? He's never taken a single snap. Get over this franks bad trask good crap, its just as bad as those pushing the opposite.

Neither one of these dorks has ever taken a single freaking snap. Stop referencing some stupid audience attended, environmentally controlled practice as if its a game. Its not.

Trust is earned. Has Mac or Nuss done anything since coming to Gainesville regarding the offense or QBs to earn the trust? Not a damn thing IMO. Sticking with totally ineffective QBs come hell or high water. Ridiculous rotation of RBs. Poor playing calling after effective opening series scripted plays. One of the worst red zone scoring offenses we've ever had.
Why should I trust them again?

As I indicated for me (perhaps not for you) it is better to trust them, mostly because not trusting them causes issues that I have no control over. Now if I was a bull gator or his boss the answer would be different. It is better for you to not trust them please do what is best for you.

Well the picks were in the high school all star game, Spring practice game where the rules made LDR look like a star and practice for the bowl game so they were in easier environments for the QB so I think it could mean something but I hope not. We will find out in the fall I guess. It is all we have seen since he left his his high school so of course it makes some people a little nervous. Hell I was one of the people saying the early Driskel stuff didn't mean anything myself until it obviously did.

If anyone let's the choice at QB affect their daily life outside of a few hours on football Saturdays and maybe some message board fodder...then the person has issues. Just because you don't trust the coaches doesn't mean the person is Dexter in real life. Is just means...the person does not trust the coaches. I bet 99% of the folks on here are good people even URG. We all have the Gators in common. Year three is pretty much do or die. Zero reason to give this guy 4 or 5 years. It is put up or shut up time. Agreed?

What are you asking exactly and comparing it to?

Did Trask throw against the first team defense? Did Franks? And that was a whole year ago. I feel like people are artificially propping up Trask. It is weird. We want the 4 star guy to succeed. They have a much higher rate of success than the 2 star guys. It is bizarre to me. Though I noticed someone posted they voted for Trask just to piss other posters off...how dumb is that?

With me its Trask has shown even in high school in his limited play he can drop the ball in tight windows nicely but its way more to do with how Franks has looked in his limited public viewing since leaving high school. He seems to really struggle when things aren't basic with him staring down receivers in one on one coverage. He seems not to see the defense well in his limited playing/practice time. If he doesn't break that habit he will be a turnover machine like Driskel was.

It's been a year. Inside word is that Franks is better than Trask. 2222 knows.

Yep we can really trust that stuff like with the talk about LDR before at practice. I will trust my own eyes until they show otherwise but I really don't care who comes out ahead if they can play decent.

I'm with both of you ... especially one of you.

Once at a party, something across the room caught my eyes = a pretty, leggy girl. What caught me was whenever she laughed, she cranked up a leg in gesture. I made a bee line for her group. I waited the proper length of time, then said: "You have beautiful legs, especially the left one." I drifted away tickled by wondering how frequently she'd think: "What's wrong with my right leg?"

I watched Franks play in the high school state championship game. I went really excited. I left disappointed. He appeared he was in a daze part of the time. He also looked slow. He has an extremely strong arm. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see him being the one. I hope Trask surprises us to the upside.

HS is a long time ago at this point, let's hope for some adult development, infrequent mistakes and find some damn personality on Offense!

I like Trask, but I would rather see Franks, with his superior height, speed, evasiveness to go with (please, please) new-learned QB skills. That's the solution we need.

Trash threw against the 4s (or worse many werent 4s by the next fall) with Maye playing middle LB. Everyone else was wearing #37, 38, and 39.

Thats not a huge deal, bc its what you expect with the second freshman QB. He was throwing to the #4 receivers (or worse) also.

Trask went against the 2s Franks the1s and your boy LDR the walkons and everyone on this board ignored that fact at the time.

LDR (and all the #1 offense) started against the #2s defense. AA (and all the #2 offense) against the #1s. Franks against the 1s and 3s. Trash against the leftovers late in the game. Depth issues made certain guys at certain positions have to play on multiple teams (OL, LB, DT).

In his 4 years of varsity H.S. football Trask threw 161 passes. Taking 31 pass attempts as reasonable for a game, then Trask quaterbacked the equivalence of 5 games. So let's imagine Trask was a starting QB who got a season ending injury in practice after that 5th game.

Here is what he contributed in those 5 games =
1) pass attempts = 161..... 2) completions = 118.....3) 73.3% comp rate .... 4) QB rating 145.5 .... 5) 1,820 yds
6) 364 PYPG ..... 7) 15.4 YPC ..... 8) 17 TDs (in 5 games = 3.4 TDs/G ..... 9) Zero INTs in 5 games, 161 throws.

Our "combo-QBs" LDR + AA in 14 games got 58.8% comp-rate, 18TDs, 15INTs, QB-rating 123.4 something like that.

And it's some kind of bull to say he played against second stringers. Trask went in once their "wonderboy-QB" with his first stringers put the game out of reach, i.e. Trask went in so as no to run the score up. It was Trask doing his stats with the 2nd string WRs, 2nd string OL etc. While the defense against him was 1st string trying to lessen the point gap. That meant they were fervently going for an intercept, for any turnover.
Don't need no fake news about one of our Gators.
This is a good post. Additionally, I read that Trask played the 3rd series And 7th series of every game regardless of the score with the starters against the other teams defensive starters. He put up most of his stats in meaningful play, not in mop up duty.

https://www.seccountry.com/florida/...sk-could-become-first-rate-talent-for-florida

From his HS coach:
“I tried to play Kyle the third series of every game and then the seventh series, regardless of the score,” Martin said, debunking the notion that Trask’s impressive film consists of mop-up duty. “His strongest attribute is his arm and I wanted to showcase that, but I don’t believe in running the score up when you’re beating somebody. I wanted him to have enough film with the first-team offense because I knew he could play.”
