I read on a few sites today the mention that Bassett is possibly taking a medical hardship ending his D1 career...his injury hasn't healed as expected is the reason.

Not sure if this has any basis in reality or just rumor...thought I would let you all know what I have read in multiple places

Wow the second coming of Jimmie Sutton maybe?

Egbunu may also be exploring other options. According to chris Harry.

Well our guys had a great run and this is not the tread to complain about the refs.

Am I the only one that read this, and read it as if some old timey new yorker was saying it?

Watching the McDonald's All American game (ESPN right now) the SEC will be even better next year...Alabama, KY, Florida all with top 10 classes. Really wanted Collin Sexton

1. I did not know they had UF's class so high. 247 has UF at 29 I think. BTW, I like UF's class.

2. I would have liked to have gotten him too, but you have to be realistic about who he is as a basketball player. Sexton shot 33.3% from the arc in EYBL games. So he may not be a great shooter from the college arc. His 1.1 assist per game mean to me that he is in fact a SG not a PG. I suppose he is a SG quick enough to drive against his current competition.

3. I hope if a couple of spots open up for UF maybe Pons signs with UF not UTn? Of course a good grad transfer 3/4 could change my view on this.

Like what? He isn't going to the NBA. His best option is staying in school and getting back on the court at some point next season so scouts can see him.

Pons comitted to Tennessee...not sure if he signed, but I think I saw he did commit there. I think there is a lot of speculation that Pons may not come to college either

Edit: Seemed like ESPN last updated their ranking all of our players shot up the board...not sure about the other sites and when they updated last

I knew Pons had committed to UTn a couple of weeks after Egbunu was injured? I do not know if one had anything to do with the other. I had not seen any speculation that Pons might not go to college, but I assume there is always that chance with an European player.

Healthy or not, he's never gonna be a nba player. He graduates in may so maybe he'll see what kind of options he has in Europe.
