GPD seems drawn to stop African Americans who drive or ride around in expensive cars after midnight. I am reminded of Louis Murphy's trip back to Givlle in an expensive vehicle or limo when they were stopped on some ticky tac violation and he was busted for Viagra late at night..

I love the officer could see they had no seat belts on at night. Not saying it's impossible if they were moving all over the vehicle or he saw them get in and take off without buckling up, but c'mon. I am not a fan of fake reasons to stop a vehicle unless you are more sure you will find something major, than merely doing a fishing expedition.

After having read the article, I think there is no way Mac is going to allow him to play without losing credibility.
I have no idea how much 7 grams is, but he admitted it was his, so 2nd positive drug test or merely citation, I think he doesn't play.

The bigger issue is that he and Lewis are hanging out with this older father aged guy with a record. That screams intervention time. Not the way you want the young men you are mentoring to go. Despite flaws as a coach, I think Mac is serious about mentoring his players toward being good character responsible people.

I'm white and have been pulled down there several times over the years for bull$hit. They do it to everyone it's just blown out of proportion when it's a "high profile" individual. The cops down there are a$$holes and are looking for any excuse to mess with you!

7 grams = 1/4-ounce, or about 1/4 of a sandwich baggie. You can roll a bunch of joints with 7 grams.

Yes they don't discriminate and many cops will casually lie about having a reason to stop someone late at night claiming swerving etc. and then the dash cam many times shows the person driving fine. You have to be foolish to give them a legal reason to stop you late at night however.

Mac isn't doing a good job of it then with all the crazy arrests and incidents Gator players have been involved in since he took over from Muschamp.

What I want to know is; how the F do these kids keep getting caught by the police. I know plenty of pot smokers who have NEVER had a run in w/ the law. What an idiot. Those of you expecting him to play have much lower expectations from our admin/coaches than I do. Also, those of you who thinks he plays please don't chime in anymore with the 'holier than thou' comments when thugs at other schools do sh*t. I know, I know...."it's just pot". But, just like steroids, these kids are repeatedly told not to do it. It's selfishness at it's finest....and it's against the law. I don't expect to see him on the field vs. Michigan.

It's not only selfish, it's astonishly stupid. If he's planning on jumping to NFL after the season, this stunt prolly cost him big time money.

It's because of the mess he inherited from WM. Oh wait, that's the excuse for the offense.

I've been pulled over for no seatbelt before. I'm white. Do I have a case?

Depends...do you identify as African American and feel entitled?

Totally agree. I know it looks "cool" to be one of the big openers, but playing a cupcake is smart. No need to get cute and make excuses. Play a cupcake, workout the kinks, and get ready for the real season to begin.....

That's how Spurrier advises.
