ehhh what? my post had nothing to do with coach speak. i dont even listen to what mac says. im just talking about what was said during camp by reports who got to see the practices, and then the play the first few games that matched what was said. grier looked a million light years better, but they kept splitting reps for 3 games, and it was one or 2 series and then a switch. Wasn't like it was 3rd or 4th qtr and then the backup comes in for mop up duty.

I do not deep throat, have a bad gag reflex, thank you very much :proud:
the coach speak was about Harris and Grier being close...where else exactly do you think that actually came from?

So because the backup got playing time against patsies, when there was literally no other capable QB on the roster is something that shows something negative about Mac. Okay, whatever you say ;)

show me where i mentioned that mac or anyone else SAID they were close. i dont even know if they did b/c, again, i dont listen to any of that. Everything I SAW said they were miles apart, but what I saw also indicated the job was still wide open. Splitting series for 3 straight games is not the same as letting the backup get reps.

hoooo boy...You first started talking about "that's the funny thing about Mac though" and how the conversation was that Grier and Harris were close...bro, that came from the coach...it is coach speak..writters didn't make that up out if thin air..they reported what Mac was saying. It was coach speak to keep the other guy motivated...the vast majority of coaches do this..it is nothing new.

Of course everyone knew Grier was way better..I mean come on, even a donkey can see that

As to the bolded, when you know you have limited options, and you know you don't want to ever have to risk throwing in another guy with zero experience, then you get them in the game, because you never know when you may need them. Secondly, look at the three games we are talking about here...New Mexico State, East Carolina, and Kentucky. Pardon me if I am not conerned about getting young guys experience against cupcakes

Everyone said the first year when grier and treon were battling that it wasnt even close. Then the season started and it was readily apparent that it wasn't even close, not even in the same stratosphere... and yet, treon kept being put in to play
try again my man. I keep telling you everything i heard, and later everything i saw indicated they were NOT close

I'm not even sold that clearly looking like one is behind another is enough to be confident that the better of the 2 will be the one playing.

Well Treon didnt turn to real bad until after LSU and Grier just lit it up against Ole Miss but by Tenn he looked to have way more potential.

LSU was Treon's 6th game, and Grier had a good half at best against Ole Miss. I know I posted the drive summaries of that game before, the offense really didn't do much after half time and Ole Misses defense was as bad as a Butter's offense. Grier had more potential, but potential doesn't mean anything with Nusschamp at OC.

"Fastball reps start with the twos and threes, Franks with the twos, Zaire with the threes. Del rio then goes with the ones.

Del Rio with a nice deep corner.

I think UF can find a serviceable guy out of Zaire, Franks and a healthy Del Rio."
