I have always held the belief that you should not criticize or blast an assistant coach without also equally blasting or criticizing the head coach, b/c in the end it is the head coach who put the staff together and who oversees the entire program. With that, NussNuts (an of course Butters) suck DonkeyA$$ (no offense Law). Giving more money to supposed offensive guys who are horrible play callers and terrible game managers is beyond insane. In two of the most important games last year one play cost us a game (see UT) and another could have cost us a game (see LSU). Both were horrendous calls and should have gotten both NussNuts and Butters fired on the spot. Sadly we have an end result fan base but over time if the process continues to blow chunks the end result will as well, no matter how good the "recruiting buzz" seems to be. If you can't coach or develop, even the top level talent won't reach its potential (see Miles, Les).

He has coached an offense with an offensive line that was just ........offensive.
He has coached at two other teams and he sucked just as bad. Don't act like this is new for him.

For real?

Well if I read correctly this is for this season and next. If indeed this it's what it takes to keep Corral around, then 1M+ is probably a bargain for a program changing QB. That of course assumes that Corral signs and that Corral is a program changing QB. At the end of 2017 with the same offensive offense, we can say, by by Nus here's your $800 K plus. And we can say hey Matt we're excited about your Heisman prospects next year, especially with the new OC coming in. Matt to us...thank God.

I'm stretching, I know, but it's the best I can do. I guess this is what it takes to play with the big boys. I went into the wrong F-ing profession.

Donkey, breath slowly. Breath in a paper bag if necessary.

It's already been said a hundred times almost in this thread alone but this guy getting a raise and extension is beyond ridiculous. He's maybe the worst OC we've ever had. He should've been fired after Fsu last year.

Wow! Where's that More worm gif when you need it?

Nuss should be on a week to week contract. That's how you send a message he needs to step up his game or he's gone. Rewarding a guy for doing a worse job than the last guy you fired makes no sense.

Notice a pattern?
Just pointing out that as per usual Law pulls **** out of his ass.

While I'm at it the thread title is misleading: "Nuss barely gets raise.... 1 year contract extension". Hell it's simultaneously insulting to him and us.

Mac gets some leeway with the administration for recruiting like he's supposed to, then sends a big f you to the fans.

I guess one of many patters would be that when he has talent (at Alabama) the offense was good. When he didn't have talent (at Florida) he wasn't good. I don't know anything about the 2014 Meatchickens so you'd have to fill that in. Regardless it seems to me a good coach does more with less, a bad coach does less with more, and a mediocre coach does as well as the talent he has. Therefore Nuss is mediocre.

It's great work if you can get it.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

You finishing in the 30s with the most talent ever assembled on a college football field (and getting youre replacement hired A MONTH BEFORE and moved out of your office by the new "offensive consultant Lane Kiffin" becaise you were TOO FVKKING CONSERVATIVE FOR NICK SABAN) is "the offense was good."

Even you arent stupid enough to believe that.

And even you are stupid enough to believe we had the 116th talent, despite the shoetcomings of the roster. Hell Mushdump did better at both Uf and at USC with their shyt talent.

Nuss will be here as long as Mac is.

It's no longer about winning titles for Florida, the goal is average.

Everyone knows he was left with a shyt sandwich for a roster but as bad as it was no way in hell teams like Furman had more talent than us on offense. I don't know why people keep pointing out what he was left with like that somehow excuses 116th it's so stupid.

If cumulative pay is up 70.8k and Nussmeier was bumped 317k, then who took the haircut? One can only hope the same numskull who bumped Nuss 317k.

The new coaches are making less than their predecessors
