I have a feeling that Franks is in for a long day on Saturday

Instead of being a pretentious jerk, why don't you give us a breakdown of what you think will happen on Saturday? After all, you're the self-proclaimed football expert. Dazzle us.
LSU has looked like hot garbage against even hotter garbage competition. We'll win something like 31-20. Not having Cleveland sucks, but we only use him for about one deep route per game. Davis will have another outstanding game, as will Perine, and we'll continue to hit playaction passes off their success as we did last week. If it rains? That might change things.

Thank you. I'd be stunned if we scored 31 points, but I guess we'll find out.

Toney is the key to this game IMO. He can impact the “load the box” defense on the edges. That should make the Franks “deer in headlights” decision-making easier (I hope).

Seems like someone has a thread like this for EVERY week. You doom and gloomers HAVE to be right one of these weeks right??!!
Yeah. Even a blind hog will occasionally find an acorn. Oh! But that's not a comparison. If it were, Crete would be offended.

I would agree with you OX - but LSU suuuuuuucks. And Ogre is losing the team. His call in show it was a complete disaster.

And they can't stop the run. Even when they sell out on it. And they'll be on the road.

Cleveland is really important for the offense because he has a connection with Franks. And probably accounts for about 75% of our receiving yards.

I don't think there's anyway we beat Georgia if Cleveland is not in the game and if Clark and Campbell aren't at least 75% because of issues with depth on the D line.

My biggest issue with how to use Toney is that they're mainly using him out of wildcat. They love to throw that screen pass to Cleveland. Throw it to Toney.

And for God's sake - put Toney in at slot and have him run a quick slant. A hot route. That would just result in huge chunks of yards.

LSU was dismantled by a mediocre Miss State team and lost to a Sun Belt team. We really do have issues if we can't beat them.

Line Toney up in the backfield and have him run a wheel route. Make sure the band is cued up before the play.

This isn't Vandy's defensive line. LSU has horses up front, as always. And this time, they are pissed and embarrassed coming off that loss to Troy.

Kind of like us when we lost to Georgia F'n Southern, we were so pissed and embarrased we got killed by the clowns the following week. I'm hoping LSU follows the same script and we kick their arses.

If we are able to run the ball we will win. Maintaining drives and letting the D rest in the 2nd half is crucial. Win the time of possession but finish drives w' points! (Oh lord, i sound like Muschamp)

Win first down on the ground and then go from there. We might actually throw a pass on 2nd down too!

Make Ettling beat us. Guice is going to get his yards but stop the home run and put it on Ettling.
Go Gators!!!

This will be Massey's coming out party!! :D

Honestly, I think we win the game....but LSU is talented, and has probably the 3rd best roster in the SEC (behind Alabama and UGA). They have their backs to the wall and they are hearing how much "they suck". They will either come out and play a tough, solid game....or roll over like UT did vs. UGA last week after nearly losing at home to UMass. You never know w/ 18-22 year old kids. But the fact is, Franks hasn't done much to give any of us confidence he will play well enough for us to win (if LSU stops the run and forces us to rely on Franks to win the game). Hopefully through 5 games he'll make enough improvements....

If we go up 2 scores early, they will probably fold their tents...

I'm a pretty positive thinking fan, but I agree with Ox this week. Cleveland is our only downfield threat. After him, it's the TEs. Our remaining WR don't catch anything but screens and quick slants. Franks is a gambler but he's throwing against good DBs this week. They can make him pay.

On the other side of the ball, we're down 2 DTs and we're a terrible tackling team. We can be run on and thrown on.

I have a very bad feeling that this won't be a happy homecoming. Sorry fellas.

Alex.
