Long ago I dropped in on the PF (a sour mistake). I read some L-Boy v Divits "battles" - so divits knows L-Boy well.
Divits' description-conclusion of L-Boy's self-flattering is precisely right. L-Boy's real name is Jack Zoff.
Most accurately, I think divits is emphasizing that: if Frost can make his offense work with UCF's skill players, he can certainly excel with the athletes UF can provide. Nobody has made that supporting statement yet. (hope I'm not usurping your voice, divits?)

Agreed. Football is entertainment and if it is not entertaining it is a problem. It’s a business and you better play to you customers.

Franz used to be a sports writer (many, many years ago, like in the 70s) for the Savannah Morning News. Our Savannah Gator Club has had him as our guest speaker for two of our annual banquets, both during the Meyer years. He is a folksy kind of guy, who loves to tell tales, but given what he does for a living now, I wonder how "connected" he is, and how much of what he says is pure BS. We haven't had him back in quite awhile, and given the number of real reporters who cover the Gators are out there (yes, I know how everyone here seemingly hates Pat Dooley, I like him, we had him in 2016, and would have him again), there's no need for us to invite Franz again. I just don't know how much of what Franz says is true.

I have to think that, as is the case with negotiating most big contracts, there is first an agreement in principle on the job and some structure, but the devil is always in the details (contract). Nothing is final until it's signed, and the "back and forth" in contract negotiation can take a long time, especially when every redline is a negotiation. I've seen plenty of "handshake agreements" fall apart in the contract negotiation/finalization stage.
This just reeks of a "handshake agreement" that is still in doubt until all of the contract work is done (and oh, by the way, shrewd donkeys will leverage each of those redline negotiations, and keep all of the other fish on the line just in case the first line breaks). It could also all be a smokescreen.
