This is fun. The excuses carry over nicely. Despite what kirby did 2 years ago and despite what taggart is doing, this is a transition class. No way possible for us bring in a top10 class. Next year the excuse will be,"it takes time to build relationships". Year three will be "mac damaged the brand ". Year 4 he gets fired and the cycle starts over.

Some people were still blaming Chump for Snatchlestains failings right up to the end so I expect Mullen to get at least 3 years of MacScuses. It's funny how elite coaches step into a program and you never hear a beep about "of course they are failing, look who they had to follow."

Concerning Langham, i’ve stated that if Bama doesn’t have room for him that I expect him here. I don’t expect to beat Bama straight up for him. They currently have five DL and one LB. I’m not sure how many they can take, but they are sitting at 18. To me, Langham is in play. Doesn’t mean they won’t make room, but dominos need to fall first.

Kirby also took over a program from Richt that despite some down years overall was pretty damn successful for a long time...he didn't take over after 2 horrendous coaches that decimated this program. Kirby is obviously showing he is a great recruiter now in his own right and Mullen will have to as well starting next year. I'm cautiously optimistic and like what Mullen has shown so far but he has a lot to prove yet

It's so weird, so it was Richt/UGA in those recent SECCGs right before Kirby got hired? I could have sworn it was UF. But yeah, UGA was killing it in the SEC so of course Kirby and his assistants could just sit back and let the recruits stack up.

Maybe, but not from me. I try to be fair with the first class. The second one has to be elite though.

I do like that this has has high quality, just not enough numbers. We will see next year whether this staff has it.
