But wasn’t he doing his time? Didn’t Butters tell him to leave the program? That’s pretty undisputed right?

Who cares? There is no proof either way (all hearsay) and like I said yesterday, I don't care if he hauled Grier out of town himself. Grier is no longer a gator and it just doesn't matter. Water under the bridge.

Like I said, I don't hate kids. Coaches are different. I despise Mac and the day he was hired. As for someone needing help well.... Being a jilted lover isn't healthy.
Dan, lying about your true feeling for Butters isn't helping matters here.....The anger in your heart is just spilling out in every post you make on this topic...I can help you but your lashing out at the wrong people.

I think a lot of people care. You don’t care. But I think the majority of people do. That’s the reason it’s such a hot topic item.

Yeah...ok...I really wish we still had a coach (using the term lightly) who cant complete a sentence without crying and one who was lazy and couldn't recruit and had no idea how to develop players and smiles when we get blown out by our rivals. God I miss that. I was really excited about winning 3 games this year.

“I already thought Kyle Trask had talent, but wasn't ready. A couple of guys told me he is starting to show out and will be the starter.

Personally, I thought this was interesting....

Just think. Grier stays like half of this board wanted. Mac manages 8 win seasons and he’s still here.

Or he gets broken behind one of our schitty lines the last two seasons, and plays under Nuss and looks like absolute dog schit.

Grier is going to win the damn Heisman this season. That's going to be tough to swallow.

At least he won't win the NC too, like Newton did.

That would be awesome. Let’s give the most prestigious collegiate award to a guy that failed an NCAA drug test.

Maybe those who keep their mouth attached to his jock ought not take it so deep.

I'm with Dan. Mac is history, WG is history, I'm looking forward.

Just went back and started reading the whole series, and DAMN! The whole article on Grier and then the comments about Callaway are freaking eye opening. I don't see Butters getting another crack at a FBS HC job. And rightly so.
What were the comments on Callaway?

This is correct. In the two plays that preceded the TD pass to Callaway, he was getting destroyed. Now, I certainly would've rather seen him back there than the garbage we've rolled out since. But if we're being honest, outside of the last few series against ut(when we had no choice but to pass) and the first half against OM, where we seemed to still be buzzed from the previous week, even Grier didn't look great. Between the OL and the play calling, the UK and Mizzou games looked eerily similar, despite being bookends of those games. Assuming he even survived, anything he did would've been based purely off of his talent, not our design or development.

Some of you guys are ridiculous. This is a freaking Gator message board, and it's the damn offseason. What should we discuss? Knitting?

This is a significant article and Grier leaving is the biggest player debacle story we've had since Newton was jettisoned so it's going to be talked about. Deal with it.

And MJM, if you think the stupid PED thing is going to keep Grier out of New York at the end of the year, you're more hammered than usual. Cam Newton was a thieving, cheating slime and they certainly didn't hesitate giving the Heisman to him.

I'm going to start a separate section for the "move on" people so they aren't offended by threads like these.

Well, you certainly "give a fuk" enough to make about 17 posts about not giving a fuk. Good Lord.

Someone need to point out how ridiculous it sounds to be so butthurt 2 years after something happened that was completely out of our control and was brought on by the same kid being worshiped.
