Now that's not nice. You didn't answer the question, though. Who called him an offensive genius? I never saw that.

It's your board, search it with your admin powers. He was mentioned as a "insert your adjective here" offensive mind.

However, you crapped on a mention of Gary Andersen. So I asked why he'd be a bad hire. 1/2 a day later no reasons. So seriously, why would he be a bad hire?

I think most of the board knows your sources are full of ****. Foley is not going to let the cat out of the bag this week. If someone leaked and he found out they'd be fired.

I've never heard of Gary Andersen, and neither has anyone else.

You have every right to doubt the sources. That's your choice. But out of curiosity, why does the idea of Freeze being the #1 target seem so implausible to you? He's young, an offensive mind, good recruiter, and has SEC familiarity, all things Foley seems to look for.

Freeze is a great coach. Ole Miss will be 8-3 and ranked in the top 16-17 in the brutal west after this loss.....some of you people have no perspective. Patterson and TCU went 5-7 last year.

78, I still have no idea what you're talking about. I never backtracked. Here, I'll say it again:

Hugh Freeze is Jeremy Foley's #1 target. He is expected to be persuaded with the right offer.

I do not know of any other coaches on his list at this time. Freeze is not my #1 choice and never has been. However, I wouldn't be disappointed with the hire.

And I'll let you in on another very, very big secret: I own this board, and am always looking for ways to increase traffic, as would any owner that wants his board to grow.

I have a lot of nerve, I know. Would I make stuff up to get hits? Absolutely not.

Saucy!

So are we supposed to use a posters real name when we really want to make a point? If so, I'm going to need everyone to send me a PM with their names so I can keep a list. Thanks.

Let me address this further. There are hundreds of coaches. Jeremy Foley, by all accounts and taking into account his history, has very specific parameters he looks for. I don't believe Andersen falls within those parameters, so I don't personally believe he'll be a candidate. Hence, he's not worth the bandwidth in breaking down his coaching career. That doesn't mean he isn't a good head coach. That doesn't mean he couldn't be a good head coach at Florida.

I think Foley, right or wrong, is rather obsessed with getting a coach that's familiar with the SEC.

Kelly's not realistic, never was. Freeze is. Your source told you Freeze was Foley's top guy. No need to backtrack because he got shut out. Stick to your guns. [/QUOTE]

How many coaches have gone undefeated in the last ten years?

Check out Patterson since 2000. Has had a few down years, but a lot of 10+ win seasons...at TCU for heavens sake! This is a track record, and a damn successful one. With access to the talent in the state of Florida, I think he could even more successful.

Freeze could too, just to stay within the parameters of this thread,,,

don't throw dirt on the flavor of the month. What I find funny is last year when we were throwing around names nobody mentioned Patterson. I also said that last year was our window to fire muschamp or we'd have to over pay a guy like Hugh freeze. But I'd be way happier with freeze.

There is no perfect coach, but one. He is only perfect because his fan base knows how to cheat like m'fers without involving him and get away with it and he is allowed to run off 15 after every spring practice.
