Its awfully hard to keep a character blight under wraps in this day and age. I think it's the lack of experience combined with losing big to UCF in the conference championship. So many teams with spots open seemed to pass on him. It's possible that there is a major skeleton in that closet.

And I'll continue to say that going from one unbalanced approach to another isn't going to make anyone happy for very long. Losing games 56-49 would get old just as quickly as losing them 17-10.He'd definitely put up some points, but I'm not sure how well rounded he is. I would've been ok with it, the same as I am with Mullen. But he is far from a slam dunk.

One more solid year for Memphis should put Norvell on the main radar.
What will you do if Mullen actually improves and turns out to be a damn fine hire?
No, I actually have watched a football game, including this one. I forgot Memphis made it close. I still think there's hesistancy from P5 programs to hire him over experience. That's just a guess. You don't actually watch football I'm assuming.
No. 14 UCF beat No. 20 Memphis in double-overtime in a thrilling AAC Championship Game on Saturday, 62-55.

P5 programs hire coordinators ALL the time and the failure rate is about the same as hiring someone else's mediocre coach. No, I actually have watched a football game, including this one. Norvell was a head coach last time I checked.P5 programs hire coordinators ALL the time and the failure rate is about the same as hiring someone else's mediocre coach.
Right but i meant the "too little HC experience" angle.Norvell was a head coach last time I checked.
I'm just guessing why he hasn't been hired. Had it been up to me, he'd be our guy now.Right but i meant the "too little HC experience" angle.
There is definitely SOMETHING there.
