Total BS that we couldn't make this happen. Mac/Foley/Stricklin are total b!tches. You lose Locksley. Keep Nuss and Bammer loses their number two recruiter to ASU? This is why we suck out loud. Mac is incompetent. Foley is watching women's lacrosse and Stricklin is Foley's puppet.

I look forward to another triple digit offense and Mac getting guillotined.

South Florida: Scott Spurrier’s title at USF is offensive quality control assistant. Spurrier spent the last eight years in an off-field role at South Carolina.

Anyone think Saban waits 6+ weeks to fill Napier's spot?

Anyone know this guy from his days in Gainesville?

UCLA:
UCLA offensive quality control assistant James Thomson has accepted the head coaching job at Northview High School (GA), and UCLA student assistant Rob Thomas is expected to join the Northview staff. Thomson spent one year at UCLA and was previously the head coach at DeLand High School (FL) and Gainesville High School (FL).

Cincinnati: Luke Fickell has a 6-year contract, according to FOX19. He will make a base salary of $1.9 million in the first year, followed by $2 million, $2.3 million and $2.4 million for the final three years. Fickell’s buyout if he is dismissed is $11 million before Dec. 1, 2017, dropping each year to $9.1 million, $7.1 million, $4.8 million, $2.4 million, $1.2 million and $0 after his final season. If Fickell leaves, his buyout is $3.5 million before Dec. 31, 2017, dropping by $500,000 each year down to $750,000 in the fifth year. His assistant salary pool is $2.5 million, up from $2.14 million.

Blades flipped to Nebraska and they didn't even have a DB coach???

Nebraska: Rivals.com reports former Jacksonville Jaguars assistant defensive backs coach Daniel Bullocks will join the Nebraska staff as a defensive backs coach, but the Lincoln Journal-Star reports Mike Riley is still interviewing candidates.

Not us, apparently:

Alabama: Tennessee director of creative services Jonathan King has accepted the role of creative director for football at Alabama. King spent five years at Tennessee and was previously an assistant director for Crimson Tide Productions from 2005-12.

Arkansas: Asked about staff additions, Bret Bielema said Wednesday he'd met with candidates in recent weeks and added, "We've got a guy coming in tomorrow. We've been affected, there's a guy that I was heavily interested in that was with a (NFL) team that got beat a week ago, so I couldn't deal with him until after the playoff loss. Still involved with one guy who is still playing. … I'm not in a hurry to change. We'll go these next couple weeks filling out and complimenting the rest of the staff.”

Texas A&M: Former FIU defensive coordinator Ron Cooper has joined the A&M staff as defensive backs coach, according to TexAgs. Cooper spent two years at FIU and was the head coach at Eastern Michigan, Louisville and Alabama A&M from 1993-2001. He has also coached at LSU, South Carolina and Mississippi State.

Should we all just assume Craig ends up at Bama since Napier is gone?

Not sure, he seems like a solid coach. But, imo, LSU made the absolute best hire this off-season w/ assistant coaches in hiring Matt Canada. This just might be Canada wanted his own guy or he didn't see eye to eye w/ Craig.

But yeah, Saban has a tendency to hire great assistants. He may already have a target, but anyone in the SEC that lands Craig will benefit - no drop off coaching wise, SEC experience, and a known solid recruiter.

Since Signing Day, six college coaches have jumped to the NFL.

That includes Lance Taylor (Stanford to Panthers), Bill Teerlinck (former Nevada assistant to Bills), Eric Yarber (UCLA to Rams), Eric Price (former Tulane assistant to Jaguars), Tim McGarigle (Illinois to Packers) and Torrian Gray (Florida to Redskins).

Maryland: Kentucky defensive line coach Jimmy Brumbaugh will join the Maryland staff as co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach, according to 247Sports. Brumbaugh spent four years at Kentucky, including working with current Maryland defensive coordinator Andy Buh.

Good hire by Butch:

Tennessee:
Former Oregon defensive coordinator Brady Hoke is expected to join the Tennessee staff as defensive line coach, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Hoke spent one year at Oregon and was previously the head coach at Michigan, San Diego State and Ball State.

There is an uncharactertisticly large number of turnovers at Bammer right now.

Interesting to see how this plays out.

i think part of the reason why we didn't hire coaches was due to the administration being cheap. Unfortunately, the university does not want to go all in on football. Alabama is all in and then some. Until the administration decides to go all in on football, this will be an average team at best.
