Yeah and it opened at UF +7, which is a BIGGER underdog than +3. Capice?

I am not disagreeing with you. All I am saying is that UF is STILL the underdog, whether it be by 3 points or 7. Frankly, I don't give a damn if the spread is 100. Just prove the oddsmakers wrong and freaking win, Florida.

Sorry I quoted the wrong guy. I will now punish myself.

Nope, +3 means UF is still the dog.
"Still" has nothing to do with it. We were never a favorite or a dog. This is the first Vegas line out. Consensus hasn't even set in yet.

I don't bet. And I'd never bet against my Gators.

But that looks like easy money bc Butters gets blown out by every ranked team we play.

Except when he blew out #3 Ole Miss with a redshirt freshman QB?

Michigan is favored because their QB is returning, which is significant.

Heck even I forgot that the original article said early line, but it was just some guy's opinion. So I guess I accurately could have said, UF ended up the dog as the guy predicted, but not as much as he predicted.

Updated Vegas lines for week 1:

On Thursday evening, South Point released its early Week 1 betting lines, with eight of the 11 listed SEC teams as favorites to win:

  • Alabama (-4) vs. Florida State
  • Auburn (-36) vs. Georgia Southern
  • Florida vs. Michigan (-3)
  • Georgia (-11) vs. Appalachian State
  • Kentucky (-13.5) vs. Southern Miss
  • LSU (-8) vs. BYU
  • Ole Miss (-22.5) vs. South Alabama
  • South Carolina vs. North Carolina State (-8)
  • Tennessee (-3) vs. Georgia Tech
  • Texas A&M vs. UCLA (-4)
  • Vanderbilt (-10.5) vs. Middle Tennessee
  • Not listed: Mizzou vs. Missouri State, Mississippi State vs. Charleston Southern, Arkansas vs. Florida A&M
Obviously, those lines will shift a bit as the season draws nearer, but if you see anything you like, now’s the time to pounce before the summer practice sessions start and the lines change.
