HATERS and COMPLAINERS OWNED and DESTROYED baby!!! Go Gators!!!!
Hayes needs eight hours in the whirl pool.
That was BAAADAAAZZZZ.........Wasn't Hayes the guy who one-handed the inbounds pass for a slam dunk? He had some key plays down the stretch.
Good post. We have a tendency to launch it up early. I'd like to see more of an effort to set up open looks and get the ball in the paint. Then again, if it were that simple, I suppose we'd already be doing it.
Regardless, we have to shoot better if we want to go deep in the tournament. We clanged the front end of the rim an awful lot last night. It had me wondering if we had tired legs.

Hayes, I think missed FT's because of fatigue. He was the only inside guy we had.
Sindarius ThornwellAt least USCe lost that guy they had last year that we could not defend in the dance.
I'm giving him a pass today.
You're so tedious, windbag. Just enjoy the win already. We have one of the highest scoring offenses we've EVER had. Our team will look different when Egbunu is back. If you want to go back to the Don DeVoe days, go back without me. None of today's kick-ass players want to play that style. It's for the teams without talent. We're a Dribble Drive team now. And we score a lot.Thanx 78, I like to refer to the tourney every year when you see teams like the 11-14 seeds, such as Belmont, Davidson, Stephen F Austin (before their coach went to Illinois), North or South Dakota Jackrabbits, Northern Iowa, Butler etc. The point is these teams do not have the athletic ability that we do, etc. thus they have to come up with specific sets and motions to get their guys good looks. Mind you many of their players are good shooters, but they can't create their own shot. I am not saying we have to be methodical b/c we have guys that are athletic, but it would be nice to borrow some of those actions and just see if we can get a few better looks in the half court, instead of always using Cheese to penetrate, hope for a double team and then him being able to get the pass to the open guy. You really can't go changing now, but UF has gone into the tourney and gotten beaten by those types (Manhatten, Creighton, Butler, etc). Too big of an opening in college hoops this year not to try and take advantage of it.

I meant compared to past Gator teams. Under Billy D our identity centered around being a great defensive team. We have struggled in the past to score like some Duke or Kentucky teams because we lacked the firepower. Not counting the "Oh-4's," our shooters have often been very average (Boykin, Walker, even Beal was average). We have an incredible ability to score right now. Heck, we almost ran Duke off the court. So to complain about it is beyond silly. It's a style of play that looks unbeatable when the ball is going in and looks stupid when it's not... Last night wasn't pretty. We're missing some chess pieces. But anyone who thinks White isn't game planning how to attack on offense is naive. We're rated 42nd in scoring.
