They recruit, they coach, they address the media, their players play -- all of it -- too often too lethargic for my taste.

Your team is often a reflection of your head coach. We went from bi-polar to bi-coastal, emphasis on the left coast.
Surely San Diego State or Portland NEEDS a coach and is willing to hire him away.

UNLV.

Anyone. HELP!!!!

All this for Kentucky and Tennessee who looked like crap this weekend. Georgia is going to mount us with Del Rio in. Sure he looks calmer and understands the playbook better, but that arm! Or lack thereof. At least he threw one in the sidelines this game and not the stands. He's getting closer to the field.

At least LDR knows how to throw the ball away when a play breaks down. Have you noticed Franks never throws the ball away? He scrambles for his life to get out of bounds for a 2-yard loss, risking injury and a fumble, when a simple toss out of bounds is indicated. Is he teachable? Even without coaching, this is basic.

Franks has been yanked twice in 3 games. I'm sure that's great for confidence. He's probably done here. He'll transfer out.

Yes, because no Gator QB has ever been yanked out of games at that rate...

I did notice that. But I also noticed with franks
out the coaches finally decided to go run first with our best guy. Not Perine watched another pass rusher swing right by.

Mac is no Spurrier.
That really doesn't need to be said.

People feared SOS. Feared he would hang 50 or 60 on them. Often 42 by halftime.

People laugh at Butters and cant imagine how we could be this inept.

Hard to argue with two touchdown drives in one quarter when we had four in the first 11 quarters of the season. It's kinda like kissing your sister, but LDR has to be the guy to start for Vandy. Things could change down the road, but he earned the Vandy start last night.

Start Franks against Vandy. Get the running game going, give him some time to throw and see what he can do with some more help/experience. You can always sub in LDR but why settle for mediocrity at this point in the season?
If Mac and Nuss built a gameplan (I know, but bear with me) around Franks with the same energy and play calling like they've had in the last two fourth quarters, you would see better QB play out of Franks. Add in heavy doses of Davis, Toney and Powell, and we might actually win football games outright instead of relying on the competition to screw up.

How is Frank's awareness on the coaches? Cognitive ability is on the player. Things need to slow down a tad more for Franks to be successful.

LDR and Franks are at very different stages of development.

Mac will start LDR. The problem is LDR's ceiling is so low. You won't beat any of the good teams with him. Franks has a higher ceiling but you have to be willing to take some lumps. Mac feels the pressure. There's not enough time for Franks. The noise is loud.

Franks and LDR are polar opposites of each other in regards to awareness and arm strength.

If Franks can't show improvement then he's just another Jeff Driskel.
He started out smarter than JD. JD's problem was between his ears. The only smart thing he did while he was here was transfer to LA Tech.

Why? Last night provided a clear picture on how this team should move forward. Instead of playing musical chairs with the QB, stick with Franks, Malik as primary RB and pepper in the wildcat. The game will begin to slow down for Franks because the dline won't be playing downhill on every damn play.

There is a reason why LDR is on his third team and couldn't crack the starting lineup at Oregon Freaking State. He is not a long term solution and the sooner we come to terms with this fact, the better off the team will be in the long run.
One QB led the offense to two touchdowns in two drives to win the game. The other didn't.
