hire someone that doesn't have a losing conference record and doesn't regularly put hundredth ranked offenses on the field.

preferably someone who isn't despised by recruits and High School coaches also.

It was a panic buy. Like when you miss out on the house you wanted, plus a couple of other ones, then finally you buy nearly the last P.O.S. on the market. And end up overpaying. Bummer.

I am absolutely befuddled by this comment.

"Take the risk on a guy whose ceiling is still a championship."

So it really is that simple, huh? Just find a guy, really any guy with little to no head coaching experience so that he can't be summarily branded as capped like Mullen has been, and then declare that his ceiling is the Big Enchilada.

There has to be a literal ton of these unknown, title-potential coaches out there just waiting to be called by the right risk-loving AD. Right?

Why couldn't I have come up with that?
