Hmm I wonder if getting this guy as DC means JM really wants TRob to stay as DB coach, because from everything I read on the Miss St DC is the passing this season could use improvement. Maybe it's a match made in heaven!

Per Football Scoop:
Florida: Sources close to the program tell us that while very little is official yet and things could change, Jim McElwain is leaning towards external hires for all positions other than offensive line (Mike Summers will remain on staff per source as previously reported) and with respect to Travaris Robinson who McElwain is trying to keep but who has a strong offer from Auburn as well. When he hired McElwain, Jeremy Foley very much wanted Mac to retain DJ Durkin we have been told. While this remains an option (remember that Durkin is quite a special teams coordinator as well) we understand that a number of other programs are interested in Durkin. Will update as more becomes clear.

At this point, McElwain has had time to evaluate our defense, personally in practice and I'm sure via video of past games. Apparently, like many of us, he's not all that impressed.

Hmm..more smoke regarding Randy Shannon. Football Rumor Mill just named him a potential target for the staff. Says TRob likely won't decide until after bowl game but has a standing offer.
