Not sure that should stand. If I recall....in addition to sitting out a year...you weren't allow to transfer to another school within the same conference without approval from the team you transferred from.
Maybe you'll change your mind after bowlcut spends the next ten months planning a 200 yard day at the office for Travis ETN.Not sure that should stand.
Why not have scholarship contracts that last 2-3 years for key players, and they have to sit out the remainder of the contract if they leave (for other than the NFL draft.)There's a difference between NIL and transfer rules. NIL isn't changing, but I don't see why the transfer rules can't go back to how they were pre-Covid. Having to sit out a year was a significant (and fair) deterrent.
I guess gpa and credits transferring doesn’t matter anymore either for playing eligibility?Just look at ungabunga heading to fsu. Couldn't cut it at Clemson so jumped ship to Oregon state, sees an opening in an easy conference with a team that just went 13-1, jumps there. 3 teams in three years with no penalty. It's got to stop

Here’s the part that a lot of you “college football is dying” folks don’t seem to get. The product on the field is great at the top. The two playoff games were fantastic both coming down to the last play. Viewership was huge and the anticipation for the championship game is best in years. Just because we suck at playing the game under the new rules, or lack there of doesn’t mean at all the sport is circling the drain.Adapt or die; this cat isn't going back into the bag. It sucks as a fan, but some schools/fanbases will do anything to win. Does anyone really believe the ones who are finding success in the current landscape are going to go along with rule changes that make it harder on them? Naaaah. This doesn't even address that if, by some miracle, more draconian rules are put into place, that some liberal judge won't shut it down. There are options available to the conference to disassociate with the NCAA and form their own league with their own governing bodies/rules, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Like we've seen at our beloved school, the money from TV outweighs any motivation by those in charge to change the status quo. The schools and conferences are raking in money hand over fist whether they put a good product on the field or not; where's the incentive to do anything differently? It's going to take fans disengaging and the TV money drying up to bring about any sort of real change, but by then it'll be too late.

Excellent. How was the viewership in the 4th quarter of the Orange Bowl?
Yes, at the peak in the 1st quarter. What seems to go over your head is that the thing people are lamenting is a 63-3 unwatchable blowout that was directly attributable to the new cfb BS rules. There were probably about 100k people watching the 4th quarter because that spectacle was a complete abomination.Excellent.
10.3 million viewers on ESPN, per Nielsen fast-nationals, marking the largest audience for the game since 2017
and they were all people that hate fsu and love watching their misery. no one outside of gators and ACC school fans were watching that abortion after halftime.Yes, at the peak in the 1st quarter. I watched until almost the last snap - loving every moment of it - as it was time for dinner. Apparently I didn't miss much as it was 63-3 when I turned it off.How was the viewership in the 4th quarter of the Orange Bowl?
