After watching this game, you guys really think Franks is the problem?
The playcalling was nussmeier bad. Franks looked bad at times and the OL was trash
This team looked like it belongs on the curb on a Tuesday morning. For all of the hope of turning a new corner, it sure smells like McElwain is haunting the joint.
This was known. We look way better coached team. We knew we were weak at LB. we knew we were weak on both lines. Not unexpected.Maybe. But this game was lost in the trenches on both sides. So much for the “best offseason ever” and their body fat, etc.
Love watching the LBs run into an OL while the back cuts right past them.
Sigh. Long way to go.
Yes. It will take at least a year. This team looked like it belongs on the curb on a Tuesday morning. For all of the hope of turning a new corner, it sure smells like McElwain is haunting the joint.
And very poor roster management. This will take a couple of years to fully rectify. This is a result of piss poor recruiting the last 5 years. Lines on both sides of the ball were out worked, out coached and out hustled. We are not stocked with the level of talent of top programs.
Franks stats 17/38, 232 yds, 2TDs, Int, fumble. For those that don't think that Franks was the problem, there's data for you.
He had plenty of time to throw! Less than 50% completion rate! We did not try to run that much, only 29 attempts, 11 of those by Franks. Maybe Scarlett is the problem?Franks is not going to win any Heismmans, but having to deal with that Oline and no run game is going to be hard to overcome. He made some bad decisions and throws, but he also had some nice ones as well. He looks light years better than last year. Our main issue right now is the O line, not Franks.
