Let me ask you this, after seeing Bammer in the SECCG in 2008, watching them waylay west, and then seeing their incredible recruiting classes, did you think "Uh oh, this looks like trouble for us"? Surely you did.

Gene Chizic was 22-5 with a national championship in his first 2 years at auburn. A defensive coach who sucked at coaching defense couldn't sustain success because they couldn't lean on his side of the ball when malzahn left. Mac, even worse at coaching offense than gene chizic was at coaching defense. Mac's also hardly a fraction of a recruiter chizik was either. I'd say mac is more of a poor mans gene chizik rather than comparing him to richt and muschamp.
