Well it looks like Tabor has either deactivated or deleted his Twitter account. Probably by Coach Mac's request.

Sorry but I literally pity anybody who thinks that Twitter means "breaking news." In fact, its one of the leading causes of the cancer that infests journalism these days, when in the age of instant broadcasting there is no time to verify, edit, fact-check etc. Instead its a race to put out whatever "info" there is regardless of whether its factual or not. Its a race to the bottom and **** like twitter is the rocket fuel propelling the ship downward. Freaking garbage.

There is that but a large majority of the time you will hear the news first before the media publishes their "articles"...

Some Gator examples; Grier suspension, Treon suspension, transferring news, etc...

All of that **** hit twitter long before what you call news...

So what? Is getting breaking news about Grier's suspension four hours earlier worth anything to anybody? Does it enrich your life? Does it make anything in the world better? Or is any possible benefit from this greatly outweighed by the nonstop ****show?

I would agree with this point if you had to pay for it. But since it's free, I don't see the issue

The list of things that I don't pay for that still have a crap effect on life and society in general is long and distinguished. That i don't pay for Twitter has zero to do with anything. I don't pay for drugs or porn or Pokemon either but I guess since it doesn't cost me anything I can't have a rational complaint about their effect on society.

I was referring to getting the news first, not the effect on society. If I were paying for Twitter in order to get the news first I'd consider myself a huge doucher. That's why I laugh at people flaunting getting the news an hour early from the VIP boards of 247.

Regardless, I think you're making Twitter out to be a much bigger issue than it is. Don't blame the platform, blame the users who abuse or misuse it.

Looking back, it's pretty funny (and lame) that we took all that time to argue about Twitter

I'll keep using and supplying the stories for you non users to see. Everybody wins.

What is this twatter I keep hearing so much about? Seems folks must decide for themselves if twatter is for them... Get on or get off...You're in / You're out. To each their own I suppose?
:dunno:

I had to get off of social media years ago. I can't imagine if it existed when I was young. I learned a very painful and valuable lesson when I was a teen not to put in writing anything that you don't want the whole world to read. Social media is the devil's work.

Not sure I believe this......

If true, I'm sorry :deadnanner:
Definitely true. I made a mom joke at him last year and had to make the quote of shame just as you did. Sometimes going with "your face" instead of "your mom" is a smart choice if you aren't 100% sure the mom in question is still with us. Otherwise, mom jokes are the tits.

Dangit. I rarely pull out mom jokes and when I do, this happens.

My bad, MJM!

Also just realized the banana emoji wasn't my best choice. Was supposed to be how I felt after making a poor joke, but I now realize it could be interpreted a different way.

I'm going to sit the next few plays out...
