Nothing against Tebow and he has/had every right to want to try and be a QB in the NFL. But as the old saying goes "we reap what we sew". Tebow lessened his chances by nearly 100% of being a long time NFL player when he decided he wanted to be a QB and not a FB/HB/TE/Special teamer, where he could have played 10 years IMO. Most knew he was not a QB but was a great football player and could have been another Jim Jensen type. But he made his bed and he has had to sleep in it.

I love that he never gives up. I hope my kids grow up to as brave.

It's "reap what you sow", a biblical reference. And Tebow has to suffer making 7 figures a year as a TV personality. The poor guy just made that bed and has to sleep in it.

He had no interest in playing another position, and no one was going to force him to do it. Good for him.

He's not making 7 figures as a 2nd year analyst for the SEC Network.

Regardless, from what I've seen of him as a UF quarterback, with next to zero coaching from a legit QB coach, makes him better than 50% of the NFL QBs already pulling a paycheck.

If he'll get a legitimate shot with some team, being coached by a true QB coach and behind a solid line and just a decent run game, he'll be lights out as his INT ratio is very good and his heart and grit are off the charts.

Go Timmy!

Mostly agreed.

I disagree to the point that he has showed every interest in playing anywhere including STs upback, h back, slot receiver, holder, etc. He has just continued to work on his QB skills DESPITE the negative bs.

Being out of the league last year isnt really that big of a deal imo. Compared to the average 3rd stringer how many reps did he miss? Hell even the average 2 didnt get many reps. It isnt like hes Jamarcus Winston or Vince Young trying a comeback after eating cheetos for four years.

I'd love to see Tebow get signed and do well, but he hasn't shown the ability to succeed as an NFL QB. Yes he had a good year with the Broncos making plays in the 4th quarter while the defense kept them in the game, but nobody who watches objectively can say he is a good enough passer to succeed at the NFL level. He has to show a lot of improvement. If he is an average NFL passer then his intagibles get him the rest of the way, but so many people have messed with his throwing motion since UF that he has regressed.

I honestly think he would have been better off with that slower motion because he was a decent passer in college.

Surely Tebow has kept his Dream alive by actively throwing practices with facsimile WRs ? But if he's good enough for
3rd or 2nd - he'll be out of sight, out of mind and all that will harm his college FB announcing spotlight. He could wind up
unemployed and very diminished in public influence for his pastoring. ??

You should check out the list some time of the QB's actually currently employed by NFL teams. To think Tim Tebow couldn't squeeze onto that list, no matter how bad his throwing motion is, is laughable.

The last straw was head coach Bill Belichick and Offensive Coordinator, Josh McDaniels, a known, strong Tebow supporter , giving Tim an opportunity to be a part of the Patriots team. It didn't work out.

Tim Tebow.in the NFL?

That ship has sailed. Move on. It's over.

PS The ship has sailed for Peyton too. We both need to accept the hard truth.

He should be playing but he's been effectively blackballed.
No doubt. But I'd rather see him be a motivational speaker at this point.

If I had Tim's ability this is how I would look at it. I actually enjoy throwing the ball, working out etc. I will greatly enjoy going out and competing again. If it does not work out well I can report on the experience.

There is absolutely no down side to participating in the process, and a lot of upside. Perhaps he goes through camp again which would be another opportunity to report stuff and keep in the people's mind. Chance to do some charity work as well.

Go for it and enjoy the process!!
