I had my betting style and stuck with it. Rarely bet over $110 on any action and occasionally would put down $250 on the sure bets, where you were likely making multiple $250 bets. I just didn't see the fun in manipulating the system like that.
I glad that you had fun .

Well then there you go - we all weren't playing with the same information. So whatever you did, I have no problem with as it wasn't your choice to withhold this valuable information from all participants. Full disclosure from Ox and the sportsbook operator (NV) would have been nice.
What information was being withheld? Bet all your money? I'm not sure I follow your logic.

Gren didn't manipulate anything, he took pride in identifying easy money and exploited it. Even encouraging others to take the easy money. Some did and some felt dirty. I purposely put easy bets in to make it entertaining and fun. Gren just took the, "I'm going to win this thing" seriously.

Putting a cap on how much you can wager is silly. I just think Ox wanted to make others have to chose different bets to put money on. But let's face it, if you went to Vegas you don't have to spread your money around. If you just want to put your $1,000 on Florida to win, you could. Instead, Gren was forced to place 5 individual wagers of $250.

The shady part is he also placed all his funds in wagers to drain the account to $0 to get that $250 replenishment. Then adding that to a longterm bet like Lamar Jackson winning the Heisman or Clemson winning Champs.

It's supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be serious and degenerate. Who knows if it will even be around next season. Clearly there's very little interest in it other than Florida Football.

Difficult to bet on other things when it isn't up there......Florida Basketball

Thanks for the good explanation only the shady part that you outlined and I bolded did not happen . I placed a single bet on Lamar Jackson winning the Heisman after Clemson beat FSU so bad. On Monday or late Sunday night I noticed that the odds were still 30 to 1 on Lamar Jackson so I placed one bet on him and it turns out that one bet won me over $7000. All of this crap about me betting down to 0 and then betting the replacement money on Lamar is bull.

The timeline on Ox and the replacement money was August 26 and I have the PM's from Ox to prove it. I did whisper a sure bet to poster in the Chatroom one night. I saw a game where both teams were given 2-1 odds to score 1st and that a sure bet. That's when I 1st learned that Ox could read all whispers in Chat.:lmao2: I did place one bet on Clemson right before the NCG with replacement money but I wasn't the only one that did that and it was low odds.

I won a big chunk of my Ox bucks betting on the Field in conference championship games where the the odds were great. It was only game with fake money and besides Truxs was bragging one weekend after he won big that he was going to beat my azz in the Sportsbook. :)

Gren has a lot of time on his hands, obviously. I didn't have the time nor inclination to exploit the system the he did. Hell, like I said, I pretty much just bet $110 on most action as it was just the easiest thing to do, by hitting one key in the $ box, and placing the bet.
I do appreciate all the work you put into it. I know I was one of the few who bet on other games and the NFL, which is where I was probably most successful, since I usually go with my heart when betting on the Gators and that doesn't always work out for the best.
Cheers!

You are the only one that wagers money as if there's a 10% skim the house would take. Exactly what you do in a real Sportsbook. But there's no skim. You can just bet $50 or $100 or $73 and simply double that. I  every time I see your wagers.

I've put at least 3 games up and had little to zero action. It took more time for me to put them up and settle them than anyone put into actually reading the Event, let alone wager on it. Anyone can put them up. I've seen you post exactly ZERO event except personal wagers. Have at it.

Maybe I'll post when the Baseball Team get to Omaha. That should only be a game or two.

It just made sense since that's what I'm used to. Like I said, just had to type in a '1' and it made it $110 and I placed my bet. I think you should have taken your skim (Gren would have paid out nicely). Ah, but Ox $$ is worthless, except for bragging rights, right Gren? :bart:

With the lack of hitting they might not make Omaha .

Perhaps if you put them up with regularity and with more than a day or so notice, people might bet on them more.

The only one I recall is the Florida Kentucky game..the first one.

Why would I create bets? I have zero desire to dig up all the information to set up those bets...I just want to bet on them. That said, people aren't going to bet on things that come up with little time to even notice them.

Sounds more like you just don't want to create the bets. There's nothing wrong if you don't want to, just say so.

How does anyone put them up? I tried once and it said the event needed to be approved. I think I did something wrong when I tried

For the 8th time, and you've been around to read this same response, 99.9% of NCAA basketball lines don't come out till the day of the game. There's too many games, even for Vegas to do it and it's their full-time job.

I put up events for the Duke game, the 1st Kentucky game and the 1st Vandy game. We lost all 3. I said I would stop putting the jinx on us. Clearly you quit checking if you only remember 1.

I used NFL as a means for determining effort and interest. There was only about 2 people who bothered to place wagers. Hell, there's no interest in even the Basketball game threads until the game is either won or lost and then is pissing and moaning and OWNING and DESTROYING.

Now that we are into Tourney mode, lines will come out a little quicker and I can put them up. If you remember, a lot of my Events for football came out over night because I could work on it late at night. When BBall lines don't come out till the morning of the game, I have a real job (unlike some on here ) that needs my attention.

Who cares...it's all fake...just make them head to head, forget about the betting lines if they aren't coming out until day of.

Not really, I'm just doing more than that, and if they are only coming up day of, then sure, I probably miss some of them.

Because there was virtually nothing to bet with the NFL games. The majority of them were all 1:1 bets, so perhaps the NFL isn't the best example to use.
Was there even a Superbowl list of bets? Seems that could have been a good time to do an NFL one.

You're lying....being a janitor is not a real job :shakehead:
