This is another huge issue, especially with no leadership in the coaching department. Good coaches make sure we have strong team leaders. They are absolutely necessary. So what's the deal?

Discuss.

Well its obvious the same discipline problem with the players is still there as it was with Muschamp with all the unnecessary stupid penalties. Also how do you explain what Callaway did a 2nd time on special teams as anything but a discipline problem.

You could see Callaways frustration on not being able to return any kicks setting in right around the 2nd half. He's a big play guy and was just caught up in the moment, that being said, I have never seen anything like that especially twice in football.

I believe Butters by allowing Tabor to go on his New York tour and run his mouth every day made him the defensive leader. A coach like Saban or Belichick would have shut him up and put him in time out. Butters allows it.

Del Rio is the leader on offense. Unfortunately Del Rio would be 3rd string on most teams.

There's your leadership.

Well you can't bench him. The masses already have the pitch forks ready

Hopefully Jake Allen has the talent because he appears to have the intangibles from everything ive read/heard.

If we do have any leadership, it needs to show up very quickly.

Still in shock over how that game turned inside-out. Total collapse across the board with exception of Appleby and RB's who had nowhere to run. Even given the BS overly-conservative 3rd q play calling, it was like UT was in the UF huddle. They new exactly what was coming.

The scary thing is we need to regroup quickly, or we may end losing again on Saturday. Noon kickoffs are rarely good for us. As bad as VU has looked, their defense is stout and they'll manhandle our OL.

We have always been a heavily penalized team, even when Spurrier and Meyer were the coaches.

As I recall, he did it three times inside the 10 yardline: the muff, another catch at the two and another at the 7.

no leadership = no fire.

this team has not played with an ounce of passion since Grier got the boot.

football is the quarterback's game. i hate to say this, but that Allen kid is going to have to be a football messiah for us or we're looking at another ten years or so of complete futility. it's a lot to put on a young man's shoulders but that's just the way things are.

I'm not typically one of the negative Nancy types, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Allen ends up deciding to go somewhere else where offense at least looks fun to play in. When you're playing to "not lose" in the 3rd quarter only up 21-3, it isn't fun. Kids want to score, and score, and score, and score. That's what's fun to them. Not taking your foot off the gas in the 3rd quarter trying to ride out an 18 point lead for 2 quarters. That's boring as hell offense. Why do you think Muschamp couldn't recruit decent offensive talent? Because they don't want to play in an ugly boring offense.

Yep it's something that has been lacking since Tebow left. No "face of the program". Need someone to step up and it definitely needs not to be Tabor.

Again, it's 1 loss. UF has to look within to get things in the right direction.

FWIW, Allen, while being a loyal recruit, isn't nearly as highly ranked as UGA's Eason was last year OR UGA's current QB commit in this year's class.

Glad you mentioned that. Things have gotten so bad in recruiting that we're now expecting a QB that's barely in the top 200 to save our program next year. It's laughable.
