Franks has confidence. He has no intelligence. He's demonstrated that his decision making sucks.I'm interested to see if Mullen has a run heavy to pass ratio or does he try to air it out to give his QBs some confidence(Frank's needs a lot of this). If Mullen can get Franks to be confident and trust himself he'd be an All American and 1st rd pick.
That isn't an article. That's a medium-size message board post that he gets paid to write. These guys mail it in daily. My God. What a completely awful article. He could’ve just tweeted “I think Trask has a shot”. He gave no information, no details, no insight, just one quote from him saying “I feel comfortable running a spread offense”.
What a stupid article.
I guess the Sun said “Hey Robbie – why don’t you try writing an article”. Robbie then put down his flask and said, “hmmm...what kind of article can I write with the least amount of effort?”
Tada!
Meh.... I might edit occasionally on there. Wouldnt post from the phone. You get what you pay for on here. That isn't an article. That's a medium-size message board post that he gets paid to write. These guys mail it in daily.
Imagine if Law were writing for the Sun. Between frequency and spelling errors, he'd put them out of business.
Back in the old days, before WiFi and cell phones, we occasionally ran into trouble getting our Friday night high school football game copy into the sports desk by deadline. We'd have to head for the nearest convenience store for a pay phone.Meh.... I might edit occasionally on there. Wouldnt post from the phone. You get what you pay for on here.
Lets be rillz. We could get hammered by noon every day, cut a paste for 15 mins and equal the quality those buffoons put out.
If I had to do it now, I'd sit in the car with the AC blowing, some fusion playing softly in the background, and hammer out the game story lickity split on my iPad.I have a cousin that's in the biz. He covers just a few small schools on a tiny newspaper and on a couple of radio station. He described it exactly as you do.
But why do we automatically assume Mullen and co will do any better? We were saying the same exact shcit when we hire Mac. Any team qb'd by Franks is gonna be terrible on offense.
Sorry, not to be a naysayer but, until proven different we still have the WORST OL in the SEC. We just don't have OL talent. Summers and the moron last season destroyed our OL. We have too many kids who should be at Bowling Green or other MAC Schools. I don't see the offense being much better if we cannot run block and pass protect.
I might be wrong on Davis but, I don't think so. I predict that Missouri's OL will take a step backwards. I watched when we played North Texas and NOTHING about their OL play that day said when we get rid of Summers we need to hire Davis... I remember the recruits liked Davis but, I think he was a complete miss by Butters and my jury is still out on Hevesy. To be fair he has limited options but my expectation is to see improvement some where on the OL this season. And, he NEEDS to significantly pick up his OL recruiting. Until we have much better recruiting and coaching the OL will be a liability.I think you are too hard on Brad Davis. He wasn't doing anything with that OL that Summers/Mac built. If you remember before the Mac regime ended he had four 4* OL committed. I don't think he got a fair shot and might have done something with his guys.
I was assured that Butters was a QB Whisperer, who was responsible for the 1500 yards a year that Trailerbammer QBs cranked out.Unlike Mac, Mullen has the resume to back up his QB coaching.
