I recall hearing Whittemore has been doing well in practice. They’re pleasantly surprised with his progress from what I remember during the season. With Grimes, Cope, and Crazy Legs jr ahead of them these three newbies won’t have to shoulder too much of the load and if one of them does blossom in 2020 so much the better.

If I recall correctly, Weston was a Seider find. He never camped and was happy with his UF offer because that's where he wanted to go. Depending on the site, he came in around 6'4 200lbs as a high rated 3*. Mullen called him a 5*, but that's ridiculous. We always say that 3* who don't camp could be exceptions to the rule. Add his size, and I think he could contribute. Maybe he's more of a Riley Cooper type that blocks and doesn't catch much until later in his career, probably w/o the ceiling of Coop.

Whittemore has been praised for his hands and route running, from what I've heard, which typically means he's slow.

So is that the argument against Jefferson? Cause that’s where I see his limitations as well...he has almost no breakaway speed

I think we are at a point where we can kiss Jamyr Gibbs goodbye.....dude has way too much attention on him from the big boys now for us to compete. Late to the party again. I do think we will compete for the playoffs next year with the team we do have, but it is getting rather aggravating offering these studs late thinking they will jump ship.

Kind of reminds you of Clemsons Hunter Renfrew the slow ass white boy that lit Bama of for 10 catches,150 yards and scored the winning TD in the NC game .
