Yeah ok, tough guy. You do realize you're talking about children, right? If true, Hevesy had no place telling a kid on your own team that. Not in today's social climate. Clearly reading comprehension isn't your strong suit so let me spell it out. I'm not necessarily condemning what Hev said. I'm condemning the act of saying it because it can only hurt in recruiting. Other kids between the ages of 16-19 probably won't possess the necessary wherewithal to properly compartmentalize what was said. They'll just see an old white coach telling a black player that he'll end up in jail. Yeah, good luck convincing teenagers there was no malicious intent there. What's your point and how are we out of touch? It's out there now matter how deeply we look at it. I think you're out of touch. A twattwaffle is a twattwaffle and they need to be called out on their twattwaffleness. Real men go to another man directly to solve a problem. Twattwaffles air it out on Twitter.

He’s 23. Did know that still qualifies as a kid.Yeah ok, tough guy. You do realize you're talking about children, right? If true, Hevesy had no place telling a kid on your own team that. Managing may be a tad of a stretch....Managing a McDonalds?
Yes. It definitely does. Wisdom isn't received with time, per sé. It has more to do with experience. Which is gained over time, but he's only known public school and college. I wouldn't say that's very experienced at anything. He’s 23. Did know that still qualifies as a kid.
My point is you called a 23 year old a kid. That’s ridiculous no matter how you try and spin it. These aren’t kids.Yes. It definitely does. Wisdom isn't received with time, per sé. But I'm losing sight on your point. Whether I agree with you or not is irrelevant. I'm just speaking to how kids will receive this as opposed to adults. That's all. I don't care what brush you're trying to paint Ancrum with. More high school kids will hear what he said than adults. I just think Hev's statement has no place in today's world. It's an image issue not a morality issue. I don't care that Ancrum was offended. I care that the statement may affect other recruits.
So we've had this long exchange and now your point is about him being 23? You literally just brought that up in your last message. I thought we were debating the "politically corrected-ness" of Hev's statement and how it could potentially have a negative impact on recruiting. My point is you called a 23 year old a kid. WE haven’t had any long exchange, there tough guy. My very first post in this thread was calling your idiotic POV that a 23 year old it a kid.So we've had this long exchange and now your point is about him being 23? You literally just brought that up in your last message. I thought we were debating the "politically corrected-ness" of Hev's statement and how it could potentially have a negative impact on recruiting.
But carry on. You're making your motives crystal clear. You were hurt by my original point of you guys being out of touch and now you want to engage me on anything just to prove a point. Relax! The out of touch comment wasn't necessarily intended to be a slight at anyone. I fall into the out of touch group as well. But let's not pretend that 16-19 year old brown kids won't feel some type of way about those comments. That's all. We can all lock arms and scream screw Ancrum until the cows come home. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a bad look for the program.
Probably would have helped if Hevesy would have bought him a latte, put his arm around him and looked him in the eyes, in a big brotherly way, when he told him his behind would be in jail soon.
