That hit used to be called football. They need to make a simple rule change. QB can be fully protected as long as he's behind the line of scrimmage. Once he decides to run, he's no longer a QB and all bets should be off. Run at your own risk.Honestly, if the owners don’t want their QBs hit then put them in non-contact jerseys and don’t allow them to run the ball. These puzzy rules are literally impossible for a defender to operate within.
For a ginger? I doubt it.Hopefully DC holds its ground on extradition unless Texas rules out the death penalty.
Jeebus. Are you people nuts? Certainly in the 70s at least you couldnt hit a sliding player. That hit used to be called football. They need to make a simple rule change. Not a fan of the sliding rule. If you aren't willing to get hit, don't run with the ball.Jeebus. Are you people nuts? Certainly in the 70s at least you couldnt hit a sliding player.
It was just a personal foul and not targeting ejection obviously.
Nobody slid in the 30's. Didn't give themselves up not expecting to get hit. Don't see RB's taking hits like that. That's my point.BaCk iN mY dAy iN tHe 1930s wE JuSt SpEArEd aNyOnE wHo SlIdE!!!!!!

the rest of us don't live in California.I remember when you used to be allowed to carry a knife.
Close. Slide rule was 1985.I hate to tell you dildos but that hit was illegal 20 years ago too. hell it was illegal 40 years ago. it's been an illegal hit as long as I remember.
You still couldnt hit a guy who was down before that. He is down the second his thigh, ass, elbow whatever hits the ground. Even a RB who slips or whatever, you just cant come blast him. You just touch him (in NFL).Close. Slide rule was 1985.
True, but before that the qb wouldn't have been considered down just because he slid. You still couldnt hit a guy who was down before that. He is down the second his thigh, ass, elbow whatever hits the ground. Even a RB who slips or whatever, you just cant come blast him. You just touch him (in NFL).
