Everyone handles losses in their own way. I just kept drinking post-game and then woke up this morning for a good southern breakfast. Im good.

Marco should be benched. He will not be kicked off the team.

Grantham won’t be here next year.

Successful at what?

Long term success, championships, etc. I don’t know that he’s the guy that can do that or not. But his best chance is here. He won’t work in the NFL, and won’t get a shot at a program with near the opportunity as here if he leaves and fails at the next level. He knows that too.

You never know until you know. Mullen was predictably evasive when asked about this a few weeks ago.

I respect the possibility that DM doesn't want to air out whatever he may be dealing with behind the scenes with players and staff but he needs to learn how to answer questions a bit better instead of giving the impression(unless he just doesn't see it or doesn't care)it's all good.

All jokes aside today I learned that shoe throwing is an ancient tradition that is even mentioned in The Bible. Marco Wilson has immortalized himself and our beloved University on a list of incidents spanning back to the dawn of time.

List of shoe-throwing incidents - Wikipedia

I know some Cuban women who should join Marco on there. Evidently chancletas do count as shoes since I think that's all they had back in Bible days.
GWB knows all about it.

If this were the case, the SID parrots would be giving us hints and attempting to cover Mullinz.

They aren't. Instead they are still saying Grantham was top 30 one time and maybe he will recover.

The problem is it would be a penalty there too. It’s one of those finite technicality rules in football that taking a player’s belonging and throwing it is sometimes frowned upon.

His response has nothing to do with ignorance and everything to do with arrogance. I’m still not sure adults making this much money and being in a position of responsibility can’t simply acknowledge their error and apologize. His wife must hate him.

Arrogance and poor leadership. He shouldn’t call Marco out at a press conference but he could and should have just put out a stern response that it will be dealt with. Marco should be running stadiums for the next week and then not dress for the rest of the year. He like to preach about the Gator standard and yet his actions clearly show otherwise

Of course I really do not “know”. But I doubt Grantham will be back. I doubt it will be couched as a firing but he will be gone one way or another. Also...until now Mullen felt he held all the cards. Now he is inching forward towards having his own status questioned by those who make those decisions. I think he will facilitate a move.

I could be wrong. Unlike most on here I occasionally am.

Probably one of the most clearheaded responses I’ve seen.

Bench the kid and uphold the Gator Standard. Discipline should always be swift and on-point. The message is not just to the offender but to the team as a unit. As completely counterproductive to just pile on publicly as it is to have no consequences for the offense.

Suddenly one of the funniest lines in college football — Spurrier’s Free Shoes University quip — is possibly off the table after what happened last night.

We won’t want to remind people about how much our shoe cost by comparison.

The weird thing is the last time we had a bunch of DB starters out, Grantham played more of a base defense and improved greatly.

Its not really the loss but how we lost. Odds are Bama is going to wax our a$$ next week anyway.

Wilson made a bad mistake that needs to be addressed. How Mullen does that is his call but if it was me he would not start next week or maybe not make the trip to Atlanta.

Cut throat Grantham need to be gone for two reasons : He's not an elite Coach , his culture with his defense players supports throwing shoes and SuperMan poses , don't get me wrong I like cocky but first do something to be cocky about.

Seriously, that’s what the arms-folded pose is supposed to symbolize, Superman?
