Well without knowing his criteria how are we to say he is a moron? But based on total safety play, he is a moron. Keanu Neal as a total safety. Sorry, but I will take Todd Johnson and Teako Brown and probably some other average players.

It's probably a pretty good list(though I think it's more a list of the best in the past 40 years). And I'm not taking away from any of those guys, as several are some of my favorite all time Gators. But the one thing those videos segments prove is how critical coaching and being put in position to make the play really is. Great football instincts and individual talent are critical, and there are some "how did they do that?" moments. But mostly they were just in the right place due to being taught correctly and being in a solid scheme that allows them to make plays.

I've said before, put guys like Teako Brown and Tony George in poorly devised scheme that rarely creates pressure with a 4-man rush, and their stats wouldn't be as good as what they are. And by the same token, put Davis and Stewart(when eligible) on one of those late 90's or Meyer's teams, and they'd be All SEC.

For that matter, give a guy like Elam(maybe the best pure tackler ever) a lead in a game like Black and both Wrights often had, and he would likely be much higher. Not sure he saw a single blowout win in his 3 years here. Same with Neal.

Pretty solid list. Old school big hitters that roamed the secondary before the SEC had prolific passing offenses.
Lilly, Louis Oliver and Jarvis Williams.
Sort of tweeners like Lawrence Wright and Major Wright and ball hawks that made that TD saving tackle seemingly every time like Reggie Freakin’ Nelson.

I can’t argue against anyone on that list.

Damn, I loved Louis Oliver.
I miss intimidating, hard hitting safeties.
Sad that the game just doesn’t allow that type of player anymore.

I’d put Oliver ahead of RFN out of sheer terror.

I worked a few years at the ABC on Archer & 34th in the mid-80’s while doing some post-bacc work. A number of players would come in and I loved talking to those guys. Adrian White was intimidating just standing across the counter. Nice guy, but also looked ready to break me in half. I’d have him on this list and drop Lilly.

Guess the meaning of the word "elite" is subjective?

Not really--most everyone on that list showed up on national or conference recognition lists and changed how opposing teams attacked us. RFN and Oliver terrified opposing WRs and most everyone else is no slouch in the intimidation department.

Can't ask much more of a college player than having their play/production merit All-American status.

Pretty cool that Hollywood Bob, whoever the Fuchs he is, found clips on all those guys, even going back to the 1980's. He could only find one play for Tony Lilly (never heard of him TBH), but still impressive.

Almost forgot about him, but he was good.

Tony Joiner would like to have a word. He is on the phone, but only has 5 minutes.

Also I either misread the list or perhaps he fell just outside the top 10, but I did not see KJ on the list?
