If you have potential all-American freshmen and sophs (like 2007 defense) then YES, you can base success on how they played to start and how they played toward the end of the season. (2007 they play significantly better BECAUSE THEY WERE PART OF 2 GREAT RECRUITING CLASSES).

If the AD was having talks about letting Dan go, it would make more sense to keep them until the contract runs out and let the new coach do his thing.

We still have to bring fans in for the remaining games. The guys that were dismissed are being replaced temporarily by people already on the payroll.

If there is an indication that we are actually talking to new people and committing new money to those positions, that would be an indicator dipshiit is safe. The firings not so much.

The players and staff arent going to unquit between now and then. Cant install a competent defense,move players to their proper positions.

The Grantham Protege who was a GA three years ago and hasnt DC'ed a game in his life couldnt do it if he had a year. hell he doesn't even know what's wrong with the linebackers.

There is no pulling up from the annual Mullen nosedive into the turf.
