Ole Miss was a dumpster fire before Kiffin arrived. I’m frankly surprised he’s won as often as he has. Per Mullen, that doesn’t automatically translate into SEC titles at Florida, but, then again, where do you find someone who can bring that kind of assurance? I’m trying to be realistic.

I don't have much more to add, but I would love to see a fired up and coming person with an incentives-laden contract. Get Brian Johnson back here and and offer something like:
$3 Million base
$250k bonus for top 10 recruiting class
$500k bonus for top 5 recruiting class
$1M for SEC East Champ/SECCG appearance
$1M for winning the SEC
$500k CFP appearance
$500k for a CFP win
$1M for a CFP championship

If he did all that he'd be up near Saban, Swinney, etc at almost $8M and sets the expectation for performance. Do a slap bonus for something silly like NY6 bowl, like $50k. Let them know it is a poor consolation prize and not the end goal.

Yes this is rock hard bottom. But from what I've heard it can't approach Swamp Gas. (I've never been there, but I get the gist). In the chat box I posted something like. "I threw up after the game. Thinking of kiffy has made me fill multiple vomit bags. IV rehydration is tough on an old guy. Which is worse? I'm thinking. I'm thinking."

I once said that if that sucker ever set foot on campus, I'd change allegiance.

We've bottomed out. Gatorchatter has officially become Swamp Gas Jr.

Lame Kitten. Jesus Tapdancing Christ.
Not yet Ox. I haven't seen you post a thread like I saw at Swamp Gas two days ago: "Members are not allow to insult other members of Gator Country." [Paraphrasing as I couldn't remember the EXACT wording but its dead on.]

He has no chance at even getting interviewed much less getting hired, it's just the pining so many people are doing for him that's frightening. Nearly orgasmic. I got the feeling Detroit even busted a nut while he was typing.

You didn't answer my question, turd breath. He's 13-7 at Ole Miss. That's a fact. Is that record supposed to blow my mind?
Kiffin is 8-2 so far this year. The Mississippi State game may be interesting since it's in Starkville, but most likely, he'll end up at 10-2.

Steve Spurrier's record at Duke the year before we hired him was 8-4. His two-year record, just to compare apples-to-apples with Kiffin's likely 15-7, was 15-7-1.

Nah, but I am still waiting for a logical, rational, answer as to why not given his progression over the last 5 years.

Davis fired Kiffin for cause. Kiffin sued. Kiffin lost in court, because Davis was right about him.
Are you disputing what I said? No, you're not, because it's not disputable. Davis was out-of-his-mind crazy and forced Kiffin to draft Jamarcus Russell, over Kiffin's very adamant objection because he knew Russell was hugely overrated. He was right, Davis was wrong, and Davis couldn't get past it. Davis was nuts. Period, end of story.

I’m not even a fan of LK, but this is the same Davis that fired Gruden because of a decade old email, moved his team to Vegas, resulting in one innocent death already and another seemingly imminent, and looks like a cross between the kid from Mask and a medieval stable boy? Yeah, I’m siding with Lane there.

Actually it was the elder Al davis that fired Kiffin not the younger Davis who looks like the drawings you see of aliens when that dude is telling us all its always aliens.

Not gonna lie, I just pissed my pants a little reading that and I'm not even drunk yet.

Not exactly sure who that is in that picture but I guarantee you he's the reason for the Hills Have Eyes movies.
