He didn’t flame out at Tennessee, FAU or Ole Miss. He went back to school under Saban, swallowed his pride and stepped down a level to get back to being a HC at FAU and had fun and success. Then stepped up to the SEC and has had fun and success. No scandals or penalties.

And as a recruiter at USC, he inherited a #1 class from Pete Carroll then proceeded to rack up an average class of 8.5 and they were trending down. USC is the elite program west of the Rockies. No excuse for those rankings.

There are no obvious picks like Meyer was. The odds stacked way against us. I’d take every serious option mentioned ahead of Kiffin. He’s poison.
