I think his style of play here may be slightly different than it was at ULL. From the looks of some of the games from Arizona st vs ULL, looked like he leaned on the passing game a little more. If I had to guess, he'll probably cater what he has to work with. At asu he had a stud wr and a qb that could sling it. And they got the ball to wr a pretty good bit. At ULL they obviously had a big oline and some solid rb's so they leaned on that. I think we'll be able to keep up in shoot outs just fine from the looks of his pac12 days.

I hear what you are saying T, but this sounds like the rationale that a lot of people had with the Butter's hire. He was just this way because of the talent. Until we saw that the Alabama version of Butters was Butters. Not saying that Napier is Butters, but like Butters he did ask for a commitment from the administration before coming on. Unlike Butters Napier appears (from afar) to be a dude that understands that the life blood of College football is relentless recruiting.

I want to believe in this hire, but I'm in a very much wait and see mode. I don't trust the talent evaluation of this administration.

But butters wasn't the oc at csu and didn't even bring that guy here and then he obviously brought his lover, Doug nussmeier. With Napier, he's the oc. So we're not dealing with a couple different playcallers.

It's not a splash hire and his calling his on plays are concerning to many including me. His head coaching experience, while successful, is limited to a few years at the G5 school with vastly different expectations that UF. There are also some things about him that I like; his character, work ethic, and his passion for the game.

So I can understand the wait and see mode. Frankly, that describes me, and I bet a lot of people. So I'll give him a chance, observe from afar and support him until I have reason not to. Go Coach Napier and Go Gators!

T this is why I brought up his time at Alabama and not CSU. The offense at CSU was dynamic, but also not on the talent level that he should be getting at UF.

Never, in his wildest dreams, did Mullen ever tweak one of our rivals. He was a fraud, and everyone knew it.
Didn’t Mullen announce the attendance of one of the O&B games as the same number of days it’s been since the dwags won a NC?

At ASU he had an Air Raid coach and was trying to add power running to that offense.

he is an air raid guy and we're not going to see that kind of passing. Period.

anything else is fantasy. he's told you what he's going to run and you saw what he ran in ULL. that's what it's going to be.

until he's forced to hire an OC in his last year or so.

Ah, after a short break we're back into hate mode. Moronic take, of course.

I think you really are bi-polar.

That's because he knew his days were NUMBERED...He could not afford to make to many enemies.

By the way I wanted to look into your pull-it-out-of-your-ass claim that Napier was the OC for an "Air Raid" coach at ASU. This is patently false and I should give you a month off for spreading lies to support your hate.

That coach was Todd Graham, who is actually a defensive-background coach. As a head coach at Tulsa, he actually had Gus Malzahn as his OC - hardly the "Air Raid". Hell, here he is explaining about having to DEFEND the Air Raid from teams like Texas Tech:

ASU's Todd Graham opens up on defending 'Air Raid' offense

Of course, the Donkey fails to explain why a supposed "Air Raid" coach would hire Billy Napier to be their OC in the first place.

Quit lying, turd. The fact is, the Sun Devils threw quite a bit in 2017 under Napier. Maybe, just maybe, he'll adjust his scheme based on the cards he's been dealt.

I don't know where you learned todd Graham was an air raid guy. First of all he's a defensive coach, a former DC. Secondly his oc's were gus malzahn and Mike Norvell. Neither of them are off the air raid tree. Not even close.

The Donkey woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. When he's pissy, he spreads lies to stir people up. He already called me a "phag" for no reason this morning and was given a week off. Enjoy a week without the Donkey, boys and girls!

Maybe, just maybe, he'll adjust his scheme based on the cards he's been dealt.

With the sh*t Mullen left behind at the WR position we're likely going to see more of a run-heavy team - but we currently have only three RBs returning (hopefully Naquan is healthy by fall). I'd love to see Bowman get a bulk of the carries and average over 100/yrds a game. The biggest question w/ next year's offense is who will be QB1.

Does it matter: Air-Raid, Fun N Gun, RPO, Spread, Up-Tempo...?

What have we seen for 11 years: SLOP, Flags, Poor Time Management, Blocking our own Players, A defense that can't even line up...CHAOS

Just like UGA was going to dominate Bama...Y'all...We...Have no clue what's in store...It ain't Darth Vader, PBJs, or Side Line Aneurysms.

Our OC won't have to sit on a cooler, Our DC won't i.v. scotch, and I doubt we'll be having players throwing shoes?

Well, that's no sh*t! I'm hoping BN isn't as blind or hard headed as the previous d*ckhead coach.

Ask yourself this...Do you know anyone as egotistical and hard headed as Cousin Eddie? He kept Grantham after 2020. He started Franks ahead of Trask. And he started EJ...?
