I don’t agree with the measures you took last weekend regarding what you determined was unwarranted negativity.

Hell, I don’t agree with the Donk ban, but it’s your Board.

One of the main reasons quite a few of us here left Swamp Gas was because of overzealous moderators.
Which is stating it lightly.
I’m pretty sure I’m banned for life after what I said to the mods in parting after my last week long “suspension”.

You Have cultivated a board full of Alpha’s that damn well speak their minds regardless, of what others may think, including you.

I happen to think it’s what makes this place so damned addictive.
I like the banter, the back and forth and being allowed to call a spade a spade.

We’ve been since 2009 without any real success.
It’s been tough. I would venture to say most of us lived through the entire decade of the 80’s with “Wait til’ next year! “ tattooed on our foreheads.
Next year was 1990.
We finally had success and it’s damned hard to snap out of the funk we’ve been in, after that 1990-2009 run.

Hell, we don’t agree on what’s the best body on a woman in the Saloon, much less a new HBC.
I mean, we even have two competing threads in the Saloon , boundary tests.

I think the shock of a one person coaching search and the non splash type hire is wearing off on everyone.
I think Napier is already turning heads with his 8 step plan and hitting the recruiting trail.
I know, I feel a lot better now, than I did just three days ago.

Come fall, we all will be on the bandwagon.

Good post ox. I don't know much about what caused the ban and whatnot. But I wholeheartedly agree with everything you posted. Also, I hope donk decides to come back.

I've been guilty of this too, but people on this board need to unleash their misery elsewhere. Venting after a loss is fine, but we have beat so many fckin dead horses around here the last couple of years.

I'll try to do better as well.

I’m going on record right now that Napier will be a better higher than Kelly or crystal balls or Riley. I’m the farthest thing from Southern as I grew up in Miami but now live in the Deep South and love it. I see how these elitists bag on us (southerners) as being ass backwards and now I see some of that elitism has been aimed at Napier from people in this Board. I love this guy and this hire. Everything about him is stand up and genuine. Fuschs those other coaches we hit the home run, and y’all will see that in the years to come.

Just kidding. I read it and get it. I left (technically not my choice, but I knew it was going to happen) Gator Country after about ten years die to getting tired of mods getting pissy about petty complaints about the program.

I joined here in 2017 and, frankly, the negativity fed my negative feelings about the new hire and the program direction. I took a long break until this year. I could no longer suffer alone (I have a mixed marriage - my wife went to Nebraska).

I appreciate the banter and don't mind the negativity here any more than I mind the nutswinging. And I appreciate that I don't have to be shy for fear of offending - so sick of that shyt!

I'm deeply offended.

I’m really excited that we’re finally seeing some investment in the program after so long. If nothing else, this is a huge step to be excited about.

I’m also really excited for Napier because I think there’s a lot of potential there. It’s also really refreshing to see a guy come in that doesn’t seem to be a self-absorbed egomaniac like the last 2 disasters.
