Guess Mullen was ok with having Mama dictate and that perhaps goes along with his hands off or lack of interaction. Napier probably told her there is only on HC and she ain't it.

Maybe he should tell his wife to stfu while he's at it. He claims his family builds and doesnt tear down. Apparently she didnt get the memo.

God, I hate social media and overblown puffery like this BS post.

Put that loony Karen wife of yours on a leash dude.

I saw a vlog that suggested these kids are decommitting after meeting Napier cuz he’s pulling their schollies, not begging them to stay or giving them the choice to. Just telling them that they aren’t what he’s looking for. He ain’t skeert that’s for sure.

And if more aces like Raymond are up his sleeve I ain’t skeert neither!!!

I don't want any players who don't want to be Gators. Sure the coaching change has an effect, but if you want to be a Gator you should continue. Now if you want to be an NFL star go to Bama if you can.

Now I am quite concerned that our new coach apparently has not understood that today you have to be able to pass very effectively. Relying on running generally does not work (even though New England made it work once). He better recruit and develop a passing attack or else he won't be our coach for long.

It is clear that no matter how good a person he might be our current starter is not good enough, he probably needs a position change especially if an NFL career is what he desires. AR15 is a work in progress and he should get first shot. We need to recruit QBs who can run a passing attack, not a runner who really can't. Hopefully our new coach knows this and has just not clearly stated it.

Nice post except for the fact that its been reported that mama has been trashing the Gators to other recruits.

Beyond reports, she without question tweeted something derogatory regarding Napier's approach following their visit, which was completely unnecessary. IAs Durty said, if you want to go quietly into the night, you can do so. Haven't heard a peep from the families of Bond, Humphrey or anyone else. But if you choose to put yourself out there and revel in the publicity of the internet, then take shots, expect them to come back at you. That's how the internet works.

Also, no one threatened anyone, and as BMF said, it was a complete troll account with no followers intended solely to make UF look bad. My money was on Ox, but now I'm not so sure it isn't this guy himself.

I think AR has potential as a down the field passer who remains a threat with his legs. He stands tall in the pocket and surveys the field wayyyyy better than EJ, who should switch to a Toney type role.

It is very odd to see the most rational, level headed poster here so pissed over a couple kids decomitting. You'd have thunk we just lost to ga southern again.

Ironic that you mention this. How much of that game and that season as a whole was due to a "burn it down" approach and "culture change" from WM two years earlier. You can't purge a roster or class and not have it bite you. Hopefully the worst is behind us, Napier keeps making strong hires and we finish strong.

You keep preaching this narrative that Napier's hard-a$$ed approach won't work and has never worked. And it's just not true.

I think my ranting has muddied my point. I'm not against Napier's hard-assed approach. That's not what I'm saying is dangerous. I'm saying the scorched earth policy of burning down a class, which will likely bleed over to huge turnover on the current roster, is what hasn't worked. You just don't have the time to do that. We saw it with WM, and we've seen it elsewhere. By the time you get strictly "your guys" who totally buy in and are an exact version of what you envision, you're on the hotseat or already fired. Winners don't need to do that, which is why we won the SEC with Hall's leftovers(some good, some bad, but nothing like our later classes under SOS), and Meyer won a NC with guys like McCollum twins, a MWC transfer and Reggie Lewis roaming the secondary. Culture change is fine and needed, but not while mortgaging the present. You can use Saban as an example, but he's also an outlier because he's the best in the business.

I also don't like the idea being thrown out that anyone who committed to Mullen is automatically garbage and have provided evidence to support that. Nor do I think every kid needs to be told to wait. My issue was with Gibson, and the rumors of us telling everyone to not sign. It seems like maybe McClellan is sticking, so maybe we're good there. Believe it or not, you can like the hire, support the coach but still point out potential mistakes he's making.

And what recent history has shown is that when we have to start rationalizing moves and defending decisions that a large portion of people are disagreeing with, it's usually not a good sign. Whether it's completely changing UF culture and identity(WM 2011), pursuing a 3rd top flight RB in the same class, which costs us one instead(WM 2011), letting dozens of players transfer with no effort to stop them(WM 2011), bringing in a garbage staff and pretending that 2-3* players will be fine(JM 2015), letting Grier leave because he had to and was bad(JM, 2015), forcing out our best recruiter for Knox(DM 2018), bringing in Grantham(DM 2018), etc., the story doesn't end well. So we'll have to hope this is the right move and be trusting once again. But it doesn't mean we can't question things in the process. Let's move on.

The house is actually their real house. They apparently are pretty well off (I don't know exactly what that means, high net worth? high income? who knows?), but they're apparently used to being catered to (this is just consensus of some things I've run across). Again, UF fans were all-in when he was a commit, but the red flags were there all along. Now she's on the other side....and Ooooof!!

Also, the guy that tweeted that is a 100% troll - he has/had zero followers, it was a troll account to make UF look bad.
Could be a Kapernick type situation in the making.
