We need to basically jettison the entire roster and start over. Losers who quit don’t suddenly get better and they tend to infect the newbies with their bad attitude.

My thoughts exactly. I replayed this several times and the hit was awkward but not malicious or even that hard. No one to blame….coaches, not EJ or the defender. Just part of the game unfortunately. After seeing the looks on the players, fans, and coaches faces, I can only pray this young man will be OK.

I disagree. That pass was reminiscent of payton leading kent right into Lawrence Wright. Maybe I’m wrong, but it sure looked like a poorly timed and poorly placed ball. Or maybe I’m just biased/pissed about the 2021 dumpster fire mullen forced us to endure.

I’m not really defending our guys, but did you see the taunting that the Knight players were doing. Watch the guy at the bottom of the screen after they cleared things and things were calming. He came back at us doing a chomp to us and had to be restrained. All this just minutes after several of our guys were extremely emotional about Shorter. Terrible season, horrible ending, and being mocked. I have no issue with them not accepting that. And the fact that cooler heads did ultimately prevail was a good thing. We rightly blame Mullen and hate what he did to things. But these guys got it much worse than we did as fans. They were failed and many can’t just look to next season with a new staff. They’re done.

He overthrew him or sure. Par for the course. But he’s not to blame for the injury. EJ is not ever going to be a good QB, but he’s handled himself better than most.
