Flores did a decent job in Miami and I was blown away that they launched him after being a considerable upgrade from the previous two decades. So he's right to have an issue with them. I'm just not sure it's race related. In fact, if I'm the Dolphins' counsel, I'd go with a "Trust me, it's not about race, we're just really really stupid" defense.
As for the rest, he's probably correct to a degree. The problem is the Rooney rule that forces these teams to do this. I don't think there's a single team in the NFL that's opposed to hiring a black coach. But that doesn't mean that they may not have someone else they prefer and immediately target. But they can't because of the rule. So they have to sit through a sham interview with someone they don't actually want, and get the hopes of someone who isn't going to be hired, which is a complete disservice and disrespect to everyone involved.
