Cause of firing will be he didn’t comply with university’s COVID vaccination policy.

A friend of mine who is a pretty big Auburn fan heard they were talking with Hugh Freeze to replace Harsin. That actually makes sense to me if true.

If it's true Harsin has been banging a Boise cheerleader then the optics wouldn't look good for Auburn to hire Hugh Freeze. But on second thought when has Auburn ever been concerned about fuchsing optics.

Auburn has a powerful cadre of well-heeled alumni who have run that athletic program for years. My understanding is that they aren't as powerful as they once were, but this has their fingerprints all over it. Wait until after NSD to salvage their class, then drop the dime on Harsin's thicc side piece so they can fire him "for cause" and avoid the buy-out. This isn't a rumor that got out, this was a carefully timed release.

Bruce Pearl just oozes slime. Dude is pure creeper 100%

He really is a slimeball. And I'm not just talking about his insufferable personality.

Got caught cheating and boohooed and cried about how sorry he was. Then got caught again for doing the exact same thing. Freaking Tennessee had to take the high road and let him go and these desperate ****eaters still couldn't resist hiring him. Not just hiring him, rallying behind him like he is actually part of their identity.

It's pathetic that ESPN hired him and even more pathetic for auburn to hire him. Why do these people get rewarded for cheating?

I’d take him as our hoops coach in a NY minute. There’s no such thing as cheating anymore.

Although I wouldn’t go as far as wanting him as our coach, I do agree that cheating in basketball by the major players (I’m looking at you Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, et Al) has been going on for quite some time.

The only difference is that moving forward nobody has to pretend to be righteous anymore.
If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying is the current situation.

The most perplexing thing to me is the narrative that he does not fit in at Auburn.

Let’s check the list:

High coaching turnover under his oversight
Lots of drama with little results
Brings in sub-elite 3* transfer talent and tries to get it in shape on campus but still can’t really compete with Bama talent
Willing to cheat for new young talent
Always on the lookout for the next best thing
Program overly influenced and scandalized by under the table “deals”
Openly unvaxed

I’m surprised this guy isn’t third generation barner. Perfect match.
