With Richardson, this team could win 9-10 games, without him we probably couldn't beat the likes of Fsu and Mizzou. Gonna miss AR next year for sure.

Richardson is a projected Top 10 pick (possibly Top 5 based on how he plays), but I'll say this: This is the ONE area that NIL could potentially be helpful, in that a player isn't desperate to cash in because he already is quite comfortable financially. Richardson could probably make a million bucks+ if he returns next season in NIL cash.
I'd have to see it to believe it, the lure of the NFL is too great I think. A potential top 10 pick in this day turning it down would be surprising.

It would be, but Richardson may A) think he needs another year of development (and perhaps go for the Heisman) and/or B) just loves the college experience and being the King on campus.

These players can now be paid openly and handsomely, so the lure of instant cash may not be as great.

I guess if someone drops like 2-3 million in his lap, then he can always take out one of those insurance policies.

I don’t know how we do it, not sure where these blessings come from, but, it’s incredible the Gators have come up with a phenomenal athlete at QB again.

He is A Spurrier, Weurffel and Tebow type player.
By all counts, he also has the character to match.

I don’t think he has the talent around him to accomplish a natty this year but, should he stay for the degree and play another year, he may just accomplish that as well.

Amazing player.

Also
Sideline shots last night kept focusing on Richardson, damn, the intensity!!

I guess you can thank Mullen for recruiting him, just like you can thank Mac for Trask. LOL

The boy grew up in Gainesville. Remember when he decomitted because MuLLLLLenzez tried to flirt with Carson Beck and was disrespecting AR? Only to watch Beck commit to the leghumpers and be a mediocre QB.

Mullen really wanted Carson Beck over AR. Then he wanted to play EJ over AR. The guy did everything in his power from having AR in O&B apart from simply not extending an offer.

At least Nuss / Sharkhumper actually recruited KT.

What a bazaar thread. We have a certified, tried and true superstar QB that just put the entire college football world on notice and most of the posts in this thread are rehashing the foibles of our prior coaches and/or bemoaning the state of our D. We’re in for a treat this year with AR at the helm. Enjoy the ride while it’s happening, forget about the three stooges of the past and worry about next year when this season is done. Meanwhile, bring on the Cats.

He’s a special athlete. You don’t appreciate how big he is until he gets into the secondary and you watch DB’s half-heartedly dive at this ankles. I’d love to see us rely more on his arm than his legs, but either way he’s gonna WOW many times this season.

His arm strength is ridiculous, but he needs to learn touch. Throwing unnecessary rocket balls only makes it harder to catch.

Totally agree. And to clear up some of the things I keep seeing posted, he’s projected as a Top 10 QB taken in next year’s draft. That’s 3rd-4th round material. Obviously a lot could change between now and then, and I want him to do what’s best for him. But he is still extremely raw and may even decide another year is best for him. So I don’t see it as a guarantee that he leaves anyway. But either way, yeah enjoy it while we have it.

I will say this about AR, when he decides to pull the trigger and throw the ball it is really hard to follow the flight of the ball. I was watching the game with a lifelong friend, and longtime Gator and we were both in disbelief at how fast the ball gets to where it's going.

We were both in agreement that he missed some plays, and or reads and maybe, just maybe we could another year out of him as @oxrageous stated earlier for him to develop more.

I wonder how much those "rocket balls" are a result of him simply being jacked up. Perhaps in a game or two he'll calm down and get that "touch."
