Late yesterday afternoon I received a text from a friend (who attends UF) saying he was getting to check out the player ran practice.He saw Treon running with the skill players on offense and the DB group on D. Treon was never in the QB group during the 2 hrs of practice. Also said Del-Rio and Appleby looked Sharp as hell while the FR QB's we're off target for most of day.

I hope this is true, both for selfish and unselfish reasons.

I don't ever want to see him take another qb snap for UF.....ever, but I don't hate the kid either. He gave us everything he had, it just wasn't good enough to win at this level.

Hope he's a contributor otherwise for his remaining 2 years here.

I'd have been just as satisfied if Driskel had changed positions, but he transferred, which was just as satisfactory.

The difference being, Driskel stunk the joint up for 4 years, then left. Again though, I don't dislike Driskel, but I'm not going to fellate him over one good season in the Sun Belt.

I never bash a player who gives it his all. In a very difficult situation, Treon filled a need last year. Who else did we have after Grier pulled his bone-headed stunt? As Gator fans we should celebrate Treon's effort and wish him the best with his position change (if true). He is a player and could be valuable in other roles.
