I guess Malzahn's job will be safe until next year now.
As an exercise, could some here list some SEC HCs who will kick butts as long as they get top
recruiting classes ? Could Malzahn, could Bielema, could Mac, etc ?
How does Malzahn get those kinds of blockers ? Will Bama shut them down ?

I don't trust Malzahn's system long term but it is tough to defend if he has top notch players running it. Bama will be ready for it. Mac doesnt give me a lot of confidence because we seem to have issues against lowly defenses also until they get gassed in the 4th quarter.
No one was bragging about it. It was simply mentioned leading up to the game. I wonder how many posters on here would consider TCU trash at this point? Probably the same who would consider Freeze trash despite salivating all over both of them 2 seasons ago when we were looking for a coach. My point then as it is now that a lot of people fawn all over someone who has a good season or couple of seasons even if it is in a sh!tty conference or like in Freezes or Malzahns case not sustainable and relying on "special players"......
TCU is not good this year. At all. Ole Miss has a horrific defense and a pretty good offense. I'm not impressed by either team in the slightest. And mentioning TCU as a victory against a "ranked" team is laughable. More like a rank team if you ask me.

Hard to stay on top in the West unless you just get all the top players like Bama does. That division is a bloodbath and the difference between a 2 SEC loss team there and one with 5 SEC losses isn't much some years.
I agree with most of what you're saying but tell me if we played(TCU) them in the first month of the season without knowing they were going to have a down year it wouldn't be a game that would be of special interest? You can't control what another team does before or after they play you.
So if UMass had been ranked in week 1, we would count that as a ranked victory even though they're terrible now?
Don't ask me....It's been so long since we've beaten ranked teams I've forgot how to count them....
